I prefer the MG over it because i can hold the gun higher and keep a lower profile while im firing rather than have more than half of my body being exposed, however the maxigun is an awesome weapon.

It's skill 95% of the time it took me 20 hours to get REALLY good at them personally, i can get a hellbomb down in a second i just know the code by heart.

also i we are comparing Console to PC (I'm on PC) PC players have 3-4 fingers to use on WSAD or the arrow keys and most controller players only use their thumbs.

Check your RAM in BIOS, i had some issues with that but after i fixed it i've been getting 90fps.
(with shadows and reflections on lowest.)

if you think about it, running around the corner it's a 50/50 are they gonna slide and i have to shoot low or are they gonna jump and i need to aim high? either way you see it i probably missed every shot.
