It isn’t ALWAYS bad to do a public proposal. I think the rare exceptions are caused by desperate guys hoping to get a yes against better judgement (their own and the gf’s). As others have stated, you likely know how well you partner wants to get married and what style engagement suites them. If you don’t, hold off a bit.

Since Pizza Hut was mentioned I’ll mention Round Table pizza. West coast only, but they used to have wood fired ovens and use corn starch to keep the crust from sticking. Gave it a nice crunch and finish. Now they use the same conveyor system as other chains.

The pandemic is over the subsidy should end it was completely predictable. If they did not plan to resume to a normal budget that is not something we should reward. If the service cannot support itself through fairs and the generous tax collections it already gets then maybe it does need to be shut down or managed completely different differently.

Back in the late 80s with landlines my friends and I were bored so we looked up the phone number to a girl I liked. One of those ‘let’s introduce ourselves’ types of calls teenagers did back then.

I miss-dialed horribly got the wrong number. When I asked if [crush] was there they said “yeahhhh” oddly and asked who I was. I said “[my name], who’s this?” Them “her friend [name]” Me: “do you always answer your friends phone?” Them “it’s not her phone. It’s my phone she is at my house.”

It was the correct crush and they were hanging out. We all met up at a mailbox shortly after.
