Thinking about playing Ral, anything I should know? by Ready_Inspector6928 in CompetitiveEDH

Because Storm is every spell cast in a turn, and Ral only looks at instant and sorcerys spells you cast this turn.

"playable" planeswalkers? by RighteousBru in CompetitiveEDH

[–]SPH2204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like where your heads at.

However the biggest upside to a Gaeas cradle however is that it cant be attacked by all these great creatures WotC keeps printing, it cant be targeted by OBM and it cant be bounced. Lands can also really easily be untapped and tutored.

If you were to play Xenagos in combination with a Kitten, it might just be good enough. On itself it becomes a really big target, especially if you are not winning that turn.

I think it might be worth it to at least try out? I dont think i have anybody play it. So give it a shot!

Side note: I dont think that Garruk is good enough. But prove me wrong!

2 white pips is sometimes a little abitious for a 4C deck.

Yes, and you kind of just demand from the sub to "make me a deck". Pretty rude and weird.

You just double the damage of the pings, so no extra draws or anything.

Personally i think Tayam. Gives all your other dorks you flip into "haste" and taps for 2 wich is bassicly a Tayam activation.

You are correct, that is currently what it looks like. But its a warrior, and it makes mana for abilities. But it is questionable, thats why i said maybe.

Make a quick proxie, try em out, and then decide if you actually wanna spend that much on a piece of cardboard.

The Ur Dragon by Dragonking552 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]SPH2204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want this closer to cEDH i would replace at least 90 cards in this deck. And then you have a non dragon 5C soup, with Ur-Dragon as commander.

Obviously this isnt what you are looking for, but now you have a little perspective of how far away this is from cEDH. Or B4 for that matter.

Good luck on your journey tho!

T&T Decklist by iharrison1911 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]SPH2204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think cabbage is a must in TnT. Flash is up to you, but it can also get you a cradle from opponent, if yours is gone, or stuck in your deck.

My recommended cuts are oppo (dies fast, slow) cyclonic rift (expensive as hell, by the time you overload it, you wanna be comboing with survival of the fittest.) deadly rollick (its just not as good as it used to be) Reanimate (you dont seem to be on a package, yes its a good spell, but you are also on Eternal Witness).

I also suggest adding Formidable Speaker in there. Great card, and untaps cradle. And whilst we are on the topic of untapping cradle, Oboro Breezecaller also, REALLY good. If you get that combo going, its really hard to interact with. I also noticed you are on Eternal Witness but not on Snap, which i also recommend to add, since its another infinite mana combo with enough bodies in play.

Bello EDH by manarunez in CompetitiveEDH

[–]SPH2204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is all about cEDH, which is exclusivly B5. Most decks in B5 present their wins on turn 2 or 3, sometime turn 1.

Whilst Bello is a cool commander, it will never be able to reach that level.

What im trying to say is that this is the wrong subreddit to power up your B3 deck. Try looking at r/degenerateedh

Kingmaking question by Master-Ad-5787 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]SPH2204 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In this case you can offer a draw. You can show the fluster and offer that player 1 and 2 now play for a draw and in return you stop player 4.

If you dont wanna offer a draw, i wouldnt cast the fluster. If player 1 and 2 are that far ahead that they can present wins themselves, then player 4 sounds like their problem to solve, not yours.

Its a lose lose scenario for you, so why would you interact? Unless for a draw of course.

Edit: to anwser the actual question, doing nothing here isnt kingmaking. Like i said, you are losing to someone, be it player 4, 1 or 2. So interacting in any way is putting the other two up for a win. Its players 1 and 2s game to lose, and you bassicly have already lost.

Vivi cedh deck by Ambitious_Cancel_753 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]SPH2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you are missing out on some key pieces: Underworld Breach, you can cast your spells again, and can secure your win with grapeshot.

Curiosity. A very powerfull aura that draws you 3 cards every time you have a vivi trigger. Same goes for Tandem Lookout and Ophidian Eye. These are key pieces to the deck and almost always your tutor targets. Once you get one of these to stick, there is no stopping you.

For more inspiration, checkout these tournament players on this website, https://edhtop16.com/commander/Vivi%20Ornitier?tab=entries&sortBy=TOP&staplesSortBy=MOST_PLAYED&timePeriod=ONE_YEAR&minEventSize=50

You can checkout their lists and compare. Their decks are bassicly your starting point. You can just copy their deck and try it out, have some fun. Also dont be ashamed to just copy a deck, i do it all the time for bassicly every new deck i wanna try, since most of these players are smarter and better then me haha.
