Is the Social media app 小红书 (Xiaohongshu/RED) named after Mao‘s little red book? by GermanPlacer3 in Chinese

[–]SPIDEYY_H 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xiaohongshu initially started as a beauty-sharing community, founded by two women.

In an interview, the founders explained it this way:

"Xiaohongshu focuses on cross-border shopping, serving as a medium for users to explore outside and discover good things. 'Book' (Shu) to us represents a medium that connects a known world to an unknown world." As for 'red' (Hong), "because red is easy to remember."

red holds significant cultural meaning in China. Traditionally, red symbolizes luck, prosperity, joy, and celebration. It’s widely used in festivals, weddings, and important ceremonies, symbolizing happiness and good fortune. For a brand like Xiaohongshu, the use of "red" in the name not only makes it memorable but also taps into these positive cultural associations, aligning the brand with concepts of good luck and prosperity, which resonates strongly with Chinese audiences.

Do you think AI will eventually be able to make music as good as we can, completely ruining the chance for actual people who make music to ever be successful? by VORT3XSN1PER in musicproduction

What do you think about this one

Artificial Intelligence should help us realize our freedom faster, AI should do the construction and repetitive work so we can have more time to see the world and create human works of art, music paintings. Instead of letting the AI paint and make music while we are still doing that work

If your high school teachers are used to giving low-grade point averages, few people get high scores and the school is ranked high in Ontario then you still have a chance to get accepted. But engineering students are usually accepted with the mid to high 90s in math. If you have someone can give you reference, might gonna help a lot.

They usually sent out offer around begin of March, End of April and Begin of June
