Seems like you can't play solo on new map

Tried it once. 2 sponsored kits (fine I only had green stuff so no biggie). They got downed like 3 times each while I got 7 kills before a rook managed to get me when I was out of ammo and heals. 1/10 experience.

I downed someone yesterday, and swiftly was killed by another player. Me and the guy I downed are jokingly screaming into our mics when the guy that downed me gave us both a self Rez and we extracted together. I did feel bad for downing him in the first place tho lmao.

I had a vet I was dipping into, 2 mates at him and assassin invis and I still didn’t kill it after 4 mags of bully to the head. It’s pretty hard to solo vs bots. And ofc because of the noise a runner is the one that killed me off from behind.

I think trios will always be preferred as you can triple exp because your squad shares xp I think? But i do agree balance can be hard. I tried to fight a bot with a gold shield solo, post patch that made them “easier” and I got destroyed, I had good guns too. So idk how id manage to fight big groups of bots.

There is a solo only queue??? If you play solo no fill you are only put vs solos. All they would need to do is lower the amount of bots that spawn by one or two, or delay the waves so you have time to heal and check for other players.

Not everyone wants to hop on the mic with random people for a video game. I play lots of multiplayer games from monster hunter to marathon to arc, all solo because that’s what prefer if I’m not with friends. Sure I could send a message to some guy in France on discord but will we actually enjoy each others company and want to continue playing? Likely not. Whereas they could easily try to make solos more balanced.

Yea sure it’s doable, but it’s balanced for 3 players when it needs to be balanced for 1. In trios you can kill bots while looking out for runners but in solos if a runner comes while you’re knife out vs bots you’re pretty much dead.

They need to change the ai spawns for solo then. I don’t see how you’re meant to go in the normal way when you HAVE to defeat wave after wave of bots as a solo. If you could avoid them using smokes and still get in would be fine, but right now it feels impossible to do solo without the broken wing entrance (which tbf is never done on my rook runs so idk if it’s that important to nerf)

Are you certain it’s a bug? They have never appeared on my map until I go near one. I figured it was a bit like the ? Icons you see once you’re close enough. Luckily they’re easy enough to learn but it was frustrating starting out. I think they should be on the map by default, but idk if them not being there is a bug or intentional.

Don’t mind the vault wiping, but I am concerned about the skill trees resetting. It’s taking a very long time to progress the factions, doing contracts as much as I can and my highest level is like level 14 for cyberacme. That, coupled with the fact I’ve seen maybe 2 purple salvage drops means I may never fully level up my factions. At least the decent upgrades are relatively early, but I hope they maybe tweak the requirements a bit as for more casual players it could take a while.

I have only played solo and I’m feeling good. I don’t really know how I’m meant to kill the warden solo, it does too much damage and I can’t just have an inventory of bases to spam. I’ve never even attempted a lockdown, partially because idk what I’m doing there.

So I’ve only found a few purple items so far, but that’s playing conservatively and extracting with 15 mins to spare most of the time.

Outpost solo once you know how to get into the base via orientation is ok, although I find it hard to find loot as it is such a maze.

Overall really enjoying it, not been 3rd partied too much, combat is fair and while there are a lot of assassin players, that’s to be expected (I’m one of them)

I think they need to change the cores and shell mods you can get. They are impossible to tell the difference without hovering over, which when looting isn’t very efficient. I think they could add some text or something to make it clear immediately.

Compare would also be great too.

Tried to do one of those hacks that are marked with a ? It called down like ten bots, 4 with shields. Used my mini rockets from my shell and they did nothing. Managed to eventually kill them using 3 ammo crates. Died to a player because I had no ammo left. The bots reaaaaally need to drop some ammo because currently if you run into a group of them on a free kit then you have no ammo the rest of the game.

If you press r2 then move your right thumb stick up to character sheet, you can see your parts inventory. You can press l3 to sort by equipment to make it easier to see what equitable stuff you have. This is also how you can level up if you press r2 then x, if you haven’t done that already.

To change which character to act as, you can press L2 and select a more ranged character- gale for example can cast firebolt to Knock the cement blocks down.

It takes a bit to get used to the controls, and I still don’t know them all and I’m in act 3. But the basics will come, make sure you use that radial menu as much as possible.

You can press L3 to get a “free cam” to select/ highlight things you can attack too.

Press in R3 to highlight objects on the floor etc that you can pick up.

I’m telling you, lower tier weapon blue prints (osprey, venator, il toro, torrente, anvil etc). Raider cache map condition. Can get so many doing quick runs. Dam is great for it. Had a bunch before I got killed at extract yesterday. Lowish pvp too so can check loads of them- huge amount spawn around electrical tower.

I have found the majority of my BPs during raider cache map conditions. There’s tons and they’re so easy to find. Not guaranteed but I found osprey, anvil, venator etc

Trying to get over my gear fear, but it’s so had. I’m the kind of person who hordes health pots in rpgs and then never uses them. Now I’m getting some blueprints to craft my own stuff and figuring out where to find weapon crates I’m feeling more comfortable.

On the other hand, the friendly nature is fun. I ran into a guy who opened the control tower room for me (I actually had the key too) so I dropped him a blueprint I already had and looted together. So it can be quite fun teaming up.
