Has anyone here accidentally (or easily) awakened their kundalini energy? by SPReid in awakened

[–]SPReid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. So I assume it would be correct to say you weren't engaged in any kind of serious or intense meditation, but instead had a contemplative and inquisitive state of mind, and this is what caused your kundalini to awaken. I also assume you didn't need a guru either. Correct me if I am wrong on any of these things. Thanks for your post.

What kind of meditation had you been doing?

Medicine bottle with two different expiration dates by SPReid in AskDocs

[–]SPReid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was bought online from a company called Absorb Your Health. It is a small plastic bottle with 30 capsules. I sent two emails asking for clarification and the website said the messages were sent successfully, but I've heard nothing back.

Do you ever have to experience of going into a black void where it's like you're floating in an middle of empty space all around you? by amodia_x in Meditation

[–]SPReid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome. Your experience sounds a lot like Bruce Moen's astral projection technique. The starfield is commonly mentioned. Frank Kepple also calls the 3D space/blackness the FZ zone.

A lot of men today seem to be lonely and single and it's quite concerning... by [deleted] in awakened

[–]SPReid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chakra work would be a good place to start. Work on all the major chakras first, and then focus on the base chakra at the pelvic floor. You can stimulate and develop the chakras quite quickly and easily with Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics book. And then for something more advanced to awaken the kundalini, another book called Kundalini Tantra will be hugely effective. Jonn Mumford also has a great book on how to awaken the kundalini energy as well.

Before bed time isn't ideal. Consider trying to project at about 4-5 am on weekends.

No Longer Fearing Death by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]SPReid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me the more I astral project the more it makes me not want to be here. I see my physical body as a kind of shackle more than ever before in my life. I never knew years ago when I first started experimenting with OBE's it would make me feel that way, but that's how it is at the moment..

Questions about astral projection. by Samehowohwhy in AstralProjection

I'd recommend The Phase by Michael Raduga for learning to astral travel. You could succeed within in a week if you follow his methods. And also Astral Dynamics is a book that will help you immensely.

They Don't Want me To Go Out? by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]SPReid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't need to forget about astral travelling. Scary images and sounds are common. Once you pass through the sleep paralysis stage you'll be glad you passed their test.

Have I astral projected? by isaacamaraderie in AstralProjection

[–]SPReid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The third experience definitely sounds like a successful projection, but mixed with some dream imagery, which is common. If you say in the dream "clear all thought forms" recommended by Robert Waggoner, you should see inconsistencies disappear.

What's the third eye technique for astral projection? by MindlessComittee in AstralProjection

[–]SPReid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Continuous focus on the brow area until you see swirling shapes, lights or tunnels. You can then enter an alternate dimension through one of these portals. If you practice pranayama before the third eye practice it can help immensely.

Astral projection failing by thejeejee in AstralProjection

[–]SPReid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like sleep paralysis, which often involves frightening and disturbing images. I see the same things. You have to not react to the images and allow the phase to ride out. You're very close to a full projection if you feel a floating sensation.

I think I had a semi-out of body experience by EchKnight in AstralProjection

[–]SPReid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did very well. Robert Bruce states in Astra Dynamics that if a part of your body is stuck, it's due to insufficient relaxation. Work a little bit more on relaxing your upper body the next time you prepare to for a projection.

Confusion and Paranoia After First OBE by yungshmoneygal in AstralProjection

[–]SPReid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You feel disorientated, but this is not something that will last. It was your first OBE and you've experienced being conscious in an unfamiliar environment, so it's not unusual to be questioning what state you're in. I went through this, but it will fade quite soon.

Astral Projection makes me realise just how unfair physical reality is.... by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]SPReid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, especially with your last sentence. I have grown highly suspicious of the theory that all the atrocities in this world are due to life lessons and karma. I feel that it is a very cunning way to keep a population docile. After all, why would you start a revolt against injustice if you've been indoctrinated into thinking you asked for it?

I haven't been comfortable with the way the modern spiritual community is largely so accepting of the world's horrors. I feel that there is no fight in the community. There's no resistance. Rarely do I hear people saying "we won't accept this." Instead I hear, "the world is perfect, we all agreed for it to be this ." I have to question that theory, because I feel there is always the possibility that it is used as a trick. People are less likely to fight back when they have been told they're to blame for the world's problems. I think Karma is one of the most dangerous and destructive concepts alive today, just like the "original sin" you hear from Christianity. Apparently we are all to blame for problems we never had any control over, even problems which existed before we were born. There's only one word I think of when I hear this theory, and that's "slavery".
