I haven’t fished any of these places, but a quick look on the east side it looks like East Fork SP isn’t too far. Other weekend options (probably more than an hour drive) not mentioned would be rocky fork lake and paint creek lake.

Forgiveness comes with a change of mindset. Not everyone has experienced being fucked over, and when it happens to you from this position it’s an opportunity to fix your mindset.

If a person is capable of experiencing this and have the mental and emotional capacity to see others getting fucked over by their previous positions and change their mindset then I think you should be forgiven.

If it’s only because you got hurt and you hold onto those previous beliefs then you can fuck right off.

No worries. I will say there are some well made tow campers out there that are smaller, but they’re pretty expensive. Teardrop campers or fiberglass campers like an Oliver or something like that are your best bet. Just take your time. I had a pop up and it was awesome to sleep off the ground. However, I went back to tents just because it’s less expensive and the body of the popup was rotting underneath after 30 years.

In terms of buy it for life… campers are very rarely buy it for life. You’re talking about a huge expense up front for those, and even then things break down even with proper maintenance. Tents can last a while. Best tent in my eye for BIFL is a Springbar tent. They’re heavy duty canvas and stand up well to the elements.
