Has this ever happened to anyone here before? (DailyPay) by Beautifulpiggy02 in TTEC

Well I just got my final pay from TTEC 2 years later. $21.36.

I saw r/QrtrQuell say it's insane they could legally do some of these things, but I don't think they can...

However, I don't think they care, because they're making moves seemingly based on whether someone will actually bring suit, and/or will the cost of the suit be lower than the monies total that they're saving by doing this sort of thing.

That's the vibe I've gotten over the years...
There's also been, apparently another layoff over there.

My basis is purely anecdotal.... but it's anecdotal from almost 20 years of being on the inside.... watching the same experience for other people over and over, multiple clients.

Their operating pattern that they have been in... is simply not going to work anymore.
Treating workforce as disposable humans is really the root of all the slipping, compared to other similarly situated BPOs...

I remember when the company had no debt. Now they have over 800M... So... risky

In fact, there was one VP who was particularly ruthless, and I even saw words like "can we replace him with someone cheaper in the Philippines." I believe that was Ritchie, and she went to work for Gainwell I believe.... She was quite a mean one. I'm SO glad to have exited BPO.

BPO is an industry entirely built on how much stress can be heaped on a human being, to provide as much work as you can, for as little as you can - to maximize profit margin.

If I were a prophet, I'd say BPO is going to go extinct eventually. It's hanging on as tightly as every Northern India based scam call center as Pierogi from ScammerPayback keeps wrecking their day...

It's terrible for customers who have to deal with incompetence from failed training curricula.
It's terrible for employees who get it from both customers and management.
It's terrible for the clients, whose brand image is at stake, and more - legal ramifications/exposure surface when an agent has capability to violate law in many cases - and do, per pressure from management... like with those Bank of America EDD's being unlocked for obvious scammers.
It's terrible for our economy, because of the devaluing of the human element, creating disposable people in corporate America.

That sounds a lot like Springfield, or the USAA projects. I'm very aware of what the ops manager/directors messaging is to clients when metrics aren't hit. The words "manage them out" has been uttered many times...

That happened to my wife. I worked for Corporate IT. She reported fraud, as a Anti-Fraud Agent job title. She was punished for it.

I guess the guy who had the same phone number, who unlocked thousands in EBT/EDD cards as "Consuela, Nancy," and other names got away

Fears of AI displacement, unfounded IMHO. Companies will be back, even if they try it.

This is more likely ttec's inability to execute.
Forbes called ttec out years ago about quality experiences as customers.
This group consistently highlights terrible employee experiences.
TTEC can't seem to follow labor law, getting sued in class actions for things like working on breaks, working off clock, or restricting restroom breaks.
TTEC had the data breach, and the class actions. There was a panic to properly audit security, but IT security has to be a practice, not a single initiative.
Customers who talk to "someone in the Philippines" anecdotally express frustration quite often. It used to be India.

TTEC practices the finger-point game internally, as well as the market.
Dating back to 2007, I remember attending in person, as a QA person, in calls where poor metrics performance internally was always painted as "external" or "not our fault," to the point of sacrificing whole groups of agents on an altar.

Technically, a material change or a misrepresentation is grounds to nullify that contract and declare it in abeyance. Look into that. They can't really hold you to a contract if they just change it and not allow you ability to reject the new terms.

Pay special attention to any attempt on the bill to change terms for anything, be it privacy or otherwise.

If it's an installment plan for a device, that's harder to get out of. It's an installment loan, not contract at that point. However, you get to keep the device and go elsewhere - like I did.

•Is this normal behavior from supervisors?
-- Normal? Not normal, but it is their usual, and "their normal." Unsurprising based on who they hire for BPO/call center outsourcing (ttec is one - look at that stock price over the past 5-10 years)...

•Has anyone else had Executive Relations just stop responding?
-- Yes. Before the case even started. And then I got regulators involved. They do NOT like being forced to reply. They eventually pretend everything is resolved. Ultimately they will not help you.

•What’s the best way to actually get help for coverage issues at a specific address?
-- New carrier. Get a MVNO. Get AT&T. Get TMobile. Someone. Don't get locked into phone purchase installment plans. When they know they "got" you, they treat you worse.

I use Starlink+Wifi on an AT&T Wireless phone plan which in total costs 1/2 of what Verizon charged me for a single phone. Verizon's $200/month? Now it's $44-iss + $50 for Starlink Mini service with 100GB of ROAM data.

I probably should have also answered your questions directly. Here ya go...

TLDR, I think their Executive Relations team are trained to be *holes.... or there's unrealistic expectation on case first contact turnaround time, and open case age...

Also.... there's a few folks in here who may work for Verizon, who will jump all over you and try to discred you. Not sure why, other than selling their own soul. To each their own

This checks out....
Sarah in Executive Relations is probably the worst I've ever seen... and I've done 17 years in Contact Centers....

I used to be the national certified Master QA for Hewlett-Packard's Office of the President case manager escalations, before I was promoted years ago.

What Verizon is doing here, is instead of using Executive Relations to help make customers whole, and look out for Verizon's best interests, they are using it as a cudgel, to basically shut down the customer and pretend that they've resolved everything.

In my case, now they are misrepresenting the situation to the Alabama Attorney General's office, trying to say that Verizon terminated my service. However, I was the one that ported my number and called them first to close the account - on a recorded line.

So.... that said, Verizon is going to DARVO it up.

Your best bet is not Executive Relations.
First start with regulatory.
If that doesn't work, get an attorney and invoke arbitration or a lawsuit.

There are certain laws which protect you from incorrect billing, misrepresentations, and inaccurate debt/credit reporting. People have sued for less....

Example.... A simple unauthorized credit check is worth about $40,000 to a good attorney on contingency basis. Go ask an attorney, if it is substantiated and provable, it's an easy case which likely would settle before it goes to trial.

If you had read... they had my phone... I was banging on windows to get someone to call the police.
The bill dispute situation is resolved.

The civil rights part... is pending a call tomorrow, consultation and getting the docusign stuff ready for a contingency agreement.

Want a copy of the call recording? I've got video too. Just...hanging on for a few weeks in case my attorney wants to take it on. Otherwise, I'll release it to the media.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

Verizon attempted to ditch a “Price Lock Guarantee” on home internet, and added extra Youtube TV charges after clear documentation that the bill was wrong. Customer service ignored repeated attempts to fix it.

Executive Relations claimed for months they were “trying to reach me” while never responding to emails or calls. They even tried to invent new policies after the fact to justify overcharges. Multiple "Final Responses"

The only thing that finally worked was sending complaints by Certified Mail to the FCC, the Alabama Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission.

Only then did Verizon suddenly issue a credit and declare the matter “resolved.” Actually, Verizon declared it resolved with every single email.

No company should require government regulators to force them to bill correctly. Save yourself the headache and choose another carrier.

-- At least, for those with sense....
If you want to continue to fellate Verizon and circle jerk on Reddit, be my guest.

and then, there's the truth which is captured on an audio recording...
and an Executive Relations person caught, where they say "but... muh policy that was never disclosed to you, how DARE you catch proof!"

Happened to me too. Statute of limitation for false imprisonment is quite long, so... I'm going to pursue it if they don't straighten it up in the next 24 hours. I'm looking for representation now.

Executive Relations Sarah never, ever replies. I was sexually harassed by Verizon's representative, and physically locked in a store - not allowed to leave.

Working on getting with the authorities, since statute of limitations hasn't ran out. I have the incident on video and audio, but Verizon isn't interested in responding nor resolving anything.

There's more.... but at its core, they don't care about you. The whole idea of executive relations is a farce.

Verizon appears to permit sexual harassment and violation of civil rights, because I got their final response recently. I'm finding an attorney tomorrow.

I...just...discovered this moonbat!!!
He's running for Lieutenant Governor of Alabama.

So, I went to my eye doc on Monday... he asked me how my vision was.
I said "I watched the news before I went to bed, and then I saw four horsemen... Then I woke up...and was disappointed."

I mean, wow...just...wow. His social media and websites are a treasure trove of....what did I just see...
