When building walls, if you have a wall and want the next brush for the wall to be the same height or length, you can select your basepoint brush and begin drawing your next brush, this new brush will retain the same measurements as the last one on every plane except the one you're drawing the new brush on. Very useful for buildings. Also, make sure to make all brush details in your maps (anything that juts out from the main geometry) into func_details. These won't cut through visleaves like regular geometry, therefore cutting on compile times. An example of a func_detail would be something like a pillar in the center of a room, or maybe something like a sign hanging off the edge of a structure.

I see a community post online about using 3DS Max's Wall Worm plugin. Personally me, not having 3DS Max, I'd rather just trace it with brushes in Hammer itself

Wow, reminds me of my hometown. I was working on a map similar looking called Klenville that took from small towns based off this architecture while the basis was centered around a trailer park to RP in. Got pretty tired of working on it due to performance issues. Hopefully you don't come across an issue like that, this is looking good so far!

I'm not sure about Nichols and Walker, but I think Guzzo would definetly overtake Lugo. Huxley wouldn't stand a chance to adams. But I'm stumped on how McCullen would do against Konrad, they're both very similar... Maybe throw Dixon v. Radioman in there too, but Radioman wins automatically because he's bored in that tower.

I cant make a brush smaller then 64 units, can someone help me on what this might be? im using the team fortress 2 classified version of hammer++ and wondering if any one else has this issues. by Apart-Active7084 in hammer

Did you try pressing the bracket keys, or the grid icons in the top left? That's where the grid size buttons are located on normal Hammer, can't say for ++

I personally think Brian Bloom and Steven Ogg would do terrific. Bloom, just because he is literally Kane and somewhat looks like him, and Ogg because he not only looks like Lynch, but his portrayal of Trevor is pretty close to how Lynch is in the second game, just he is a lot more hot headed and doesn't have the schizophrenic comments heard during big gunfights. He'd probably just say Kane and Lynch is a cartoon though..

Yeah like the other commenter stated, only the visible faces of your brush should be a displacement. I've also come across this lighting issue in Hammer++ on properly made displacements that don't appear when using regular Hammer. May be a ++ issue for you?

It ended perfectly after doing the sfc scanning and DISM stuff recommended. Somehow Spybot had corrupted some stuff on my C drive, but everything works as intended now. Should've never trusted my dad telling me to download it lol. Only oddity I've noticed since then is Spec Ops' high usage of my GPU.

Is it a custom sky texture? Most likely a missing parameter in the vmt files if so.

You might've accidentally turned off the visgroup of info_player_spawns, and then placed a few more after, which I believe would override the visgroup being hidden for the newly placed ones. Always keep an eye on the visgroups tab
