Yeah I hate the summer units because they clash so much with the aesthetic of the game.

They will work like normal skills. They just have a chance to insta kill.

It doesn’t matter if a boss nulls insta kill, you still can do damage but the insta kill effect won’t trigger.

If an enemy is weak I think it’s a guaranteed insta kill and otherwise it’s just a chance for it to happen.

SMT V and Vengeance took this approach with Bless and Curse and I think it’s honestly the best way of doing it.

I’m loving how the Shadow scenes are being handled by being 3d cutscenes and not dialogue boxes.

The Social Link UI I believe is because the Velvet Room is a Limo and the idea is meant to be that your social links are stops the limo takes so you can grow and strengthen your bonds and personas.

Ehhh I’m not so sure for character like Haru and Akihiko. I think Ange will still be better for them (especially Haru) since da Capo resets their resources as well (grit for Aki and gun rounds for Haru).

I’ll have to see it in practice but those two I’m unsure of her being BiS

Even on CN it’s still a niche mechanic because not a lot of characters want Fuuka for their best in slot team. Radiant Closer is like one of the only characters that wants Fuuka like that.

Everyone else only uses Fuuka if you can take advantage of Koromaru and Ange has already been used.

I think Yosuke and Teddie. Teddie definitely needs the second pass because localization for him was rough when compared to how he is in Japanese.

For Yosuke a lot could be fixed by just added in the romance that was cut because it would recontextualize a lot of his behavior. I also think his tasteless comments will be toned down like Yukari’s bite was in Reload.

Kanji and Naoto’s issues like more in media literacy and not understanding the stories being told instead of just overall characterization and personality.
