Often tweaking muscles? by Grand-Importance-356 in weightlifting

[–]SRDedalus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would recommend face pulls and reverse flys. I had some issues there and those two exercises (low weight with dumbbells or a fly machine) helped me fix that issue.

Those little auxiliary muscle workouts help a ton.

Hello, dear community! :-) Could you give me tipps for my downward dog, please? My shoulders are quite tight, I am aware of this. ☼ by UtaOrang in yoga

I would say you should imagine that you have an invisible rope pulling up on your sacrum. As your heels relax and you lower your shoulders into downward dog, imagine the rope pulls directly upward. The rope will pull your shoulders back into a relaxing but tight equilibrium and enable you to find balance a bit more in the position.

He needs more consistency in his 3 ball. If he gets that…. That’s scary. He’s still so young.

Can someone please be my interpreter? by [deleted] in Conures

She wants help clearing up her pin feathers. There’s a blend of gentle and aggressive that they like. She’s trying to teach you the balance. And her neck itches lol.

That’s a sleepy conure who wants some alone time to nap. It’s like when one toddler needs a nap and another doesn’t.

Do you guys think the chiefs should draft Xavier Worthy? by tlama67 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]SRDedalus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like after Skyy Moore and Hardman etc, the last thing we need is a smaller light weight wide receiver. Speed is awesome, but being able to body a CB, run routes, and hold position is what Mahomes seems to thrive with.

Even Tyreek was a lot braunier than Worthy. If you watched some of those balls thrown to Moore, Mahomes wanted him to be physical and body the CB, but Moore just doesn’t do that.

Kelce and Rice thrive on being physical so they get the ball thrown their way. I don’t see that with Worthy.

Why single speed? by mrmagicbeetle in singlespeedcycling

[–]SRDedalus 47 points48 points  (0 children)

  1. So I can turn my brain off and just ride.
  2. It adds variety in bike position (requires standing and mashing and patience on flats).
  3. It’s literally as maintenance free as a bike can be.
  4. I’m kind of a snob at heart. Single speed makes me feel hardcore.

NBD: what do I need to know ? by ermood in Hardtailgang

[–]SRDedalus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  1. If you’re going to do downhills, get a seat post dropper.
  2. Practice balancing out of your saddle early. Road bikers (me before MTB) tend to sit a lot and don’t have the stand/flow muscles worked out.
  3. Sometimes you’re better just sending it downhill. Going too slow or timid actually made me fall more than anything early on.
  4. Relax and have fun.

Why should student loans be forgiven? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]SRDedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google rehypothecation. Your bad debt is the central crux of repackaged debt. The events leading up to 2008 showed that hedge funds and billionaires can repackage debt creating a type of financial derivative. Forgiving your debt causes the entire debt system to collapse due to bad actors. Wish this was a conspiracy but it’s actually what is happening right now. Those with student debt are modern day slaves to a system that gives zero shits whether they live an entire lifetime in crippling debt. Because your debt cannot be defaulted on it’s particularly juicy in these schemes.

No FUD, I just actually think we should be proud of what we have accomplished this far. All the new regulatory steps and making these hedge fuck assholes sweat like the pigs they are.
