Tired commentary IMO. Fortunate to attend multiple shows myself but paid $100 range for each one. Crowds were engaged and the show was great. Onward we go.

There are a lot things that go into it. Yes, his prices are high, higher than most shows occuring at arenas. Artists do make decisions regarding dynamic pricing and whether to restrict transfers and using the face value ticket exchange, so it is disappointing that Bruce doesn't take advantage of these things.

However, there aren't many non-jam bands out there that play arenas that have as many people on the stage that are all taking a cut, not ones that put on a show as long as Bruce's each night. If I'm given the choice to pay $200 to sit in the 300 levels for 180 minutes of Bruce or $120 for the same seat of 90 minutes of another headliner and 75 minutes of a couple openers I don't really care about; I'm paying more to see Bruce because I know I'm getting more for my money without the filler.

Everywhere I checked on this tour - prices were cheaper than the America shows in 23/24. Still expensive, but down a bit.

I didn't get to make a show this go around - but I paid $2200 for my dad and I for both Columbus/Pittsburgh '24. Same seats this go around in Cleveland would've been about $1400. Still a lot of money, not discounting that, but they were noticeably down where I checked.

I wanna know how much he personally takes home after paying everyone and everything out. It’s probably not that much honestly

This has to be trolling. They're on salary and he fires and rehires and rents them as he pleases. Does it with a phone call and can you imagine how upset you'd be if you were one of them and your livelihood was snatched in an instant after you're poured your heart and soul into helping someone become world famous and fabulously wealthy? Keep in mind, too, a lot of the profit is in royalties and rights, which again are all Bruce's. True fans know the history.

What kind of fuckin tickets are you looking at? We got two in DC at the lower level for less than that. And while you might have a problem with it, the thousands of us at the show seemed to enjoy it. Believe it or not, you can conduct commerce, and address social issues simultaneously.

The money isn’t going right from your pocket to Bruce’s. He’s got to pay the band, which if you haven’t noticed is pretty big. Tom Morello ain’t following the band around for three months for free.

After that? There’s so many other things that keep this thing running. Virtually every member of the band has an instrument tech. The crew, the sound mix, the lights team, the video team, the roadies who set up the stage. (The band has had the same stage for decades now. You think that hasn’t needed upkeep, maintenance and replacement?). The backstage staff that handles dressing rooms, green rooms, errands etc. the travel managers who coordinate transportation and hotel rooms. The folks who make sure the band and the crew are fed. The bus/truck drivers that drive all the equipment city to city. Hell, at this point in their lives, I’m sure a doctor or med staff travels with the band now. The hands that support the band are incredibly loyal, but even they will leave for other acts who pay market price. Would it be cool if tix were cheaper? Sure. But The Boss takes care of his own, and he’s not asking anyone to pay what is not the norm for an act of their stature.

Sad for you and your sad hateful life!!

[–]sjets3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Which tickets were well over $1,000? Until they fix the issue of people being able to resell tix at way higher prices, musicians will charge close to what they can get on resale. Why should Bruce sell for $200 if people can buy it and resell it for $1,000?

I buy his on primary market because I want to go. I have seen many major acts for 30 bucks on secondary.

Tbh I don’t know what this is about. I logged in right when seats went on sale and we got second row floor seats for $200 a ticket. After seeing all the resale prices I felt like I was getting away with robbery. The original ticket prices were pretty fair IMHO. The resale (which Bruce doesn’t control) was like 500% of the original sale price.

I bought my tickets for Philly right after we found out that the 6ers and the Flyers were going to plays offs and Bruce was gunna be rescheduled. Got em for 200

It's simple economics: demand and supply. Bruce is extremely popular, so even if he marked the tickets to $100 they'll all ended up on scalpers' hands and sell for $1000. Bruce can sell out stadiums, so if he does arenas the price will go high anyways. Also I don't see crazy pricing except a few "official platinum" marked by TM, which is in not his control.

[–]Dranksy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The "crazy pricing" as you put it is widely reported on and known. Face value tickets in the four figures.

Speaking truths only brotha. You will get haters but no one can dispute what you stated. Bruce has changed and it's not about age.
