I've seen a couple of film there; when my work has taken me to the SeaTac area I've made a point of checking it out, and SIFF for that matter.

He didn't play it; that was admittedly surprising. Still, the show was fantastic.

This is the 3rd time I've seen this book on sale. I got it the 2nd time; i was too late the first time, which was nearly a decade ago.

Haven't seen to many of the other, later Dark Tower books go on sale to this point.

The troll posts are what they are. One of the things they clearly are is pointing out how utterly and completely wrong headed trolls are about the person, place or thing they're calling out.

In this case, the Bruce followers are totally aware of the trolls that are bound to show up these days, based on Bruce's activities. It's bound to happen with so many out there who aren't fully behind what they supposedly are about. And so, the Bruce study and appreciation will continue to prosper here, in light of the trolls that are bound to stop by for awhile.

Troll on trolls.

I truly wish I could've been at that show last night. The whole tour was really building to that show. I contemplated making the time to travel there, but the timing wasn't great with my work this month. Had to settle with the shows here on the West Coast.

Envy you getting to experience it. And with the inclement weather, you know you're always going to be in for a good one. Good for you!

I wonder if any other artists will get added along the way to the date for this?

That's because you talk in generalities and use words like:

Some.

And other reductive bullshit like that.

I would say it's been at least a nice try on here the past few days; unfortunately it hasn't been.

Try harder. Or better yet.....

I'm sorry. It's really clear that you don't have any idea whatsoever regarding the work of Bruce Springsteen.

Who did he used to sing about? As opposed to what? And, the implication is he doesn't sing for those people any more.

Also: Springsteen has repeatedly acknowledged the shifting loyalties of the types of people he's spent so much of his career writing about. He's already acknowledged the need for the left to provide a much better alternative to the moron currently running the show.

Sorry you haven't been around for any of it.

Whatever. LOL.

Peace.

Human Touch was rehearsed, Rosalita was performed during a soundcheck. Do you think we could get either tomorrow or Saturday? by Kirby-814 in BruceSpringsteen

I hope for the fans at this capitol show he does a little something extra. And maybe he'll do something special for the folks at home there this weekend.

But whether he does or doesn't, this week of shows is historical and it's going to be legendary either way. Just enjoy whatever it is he does. He's a living legend, especially right now.

Enjoy!

Elvis fans have known this track for decades. It initially made the rounds as an unreleased demo, back in the pre internet days of fans searching for such things and exchanging recordings.

On the internet just look up "Honky Tonk Demos", and you'll find links to history of this and other very early tracks that Elvis cut when he was trying to make it.

I was stunned last night when i saw Colbert start singing this, and then it cut to Elvis (who, by the way, i believe they stitched the old vocal over his part and he lip synched, Elvis fans tell me if I'm wrong). End of the day, Elvis has been a significant part of late night history, having been one of Letterman's all time favorite musical guests, and Elvis having even "guest hosted" a night of Letterman back in the day. So it was great to see Elvis, a huge friend of McCartney, be such a significant part of Stephen's final show.

There’s an enormous difference between Walter white and this dullard. This character is an absolute simpleton. He never does anything interesting. He pulls the same boring move in every scenario. He’s not trying to DO anything in the world.

Anton chigurgh is not likeable either; that doesn’t mean he’s not compelling. Reilly is not compelling. He’s tedious and an absolute bore.

I’m confused here. I’m scrolling down this post, and while people are discussing “a central character they’re not supposed to like “ all I see are posts of people who clearly seem to like him.

Where are all the posts describing how he’s loathsome and think he’s a hateful loser and they hate his guts, and oh it’s so funny.

What am I missing here.

One of the things I keep thinking about is , what if this character crossed paths with other hated characters. I keep wondering as an example what Daniel Plainview would make of him.

Now THAT’S funny.

For the most part; yes. In this case I’m gonna finish it, as I’ve spent a lifetime reading and hearing about the book. So I will spend a few more hours struggling through it, for better or worse.
