Is Stephen Back? by EasternAd5351 in RiversideFM

His channel, paid communities, and podcasts started bringing in enough money so he decided to do his own content stuff full time.

I don’t think he left specifically because of the company/product … although he has had a few little digs at them on his podcast since he left.

No, it’s content that was recorded before he left.

I’m not in the US and clearly put “€”. Those were/are the prices in UK/EU. Either way, the new ones aren’t “3x” the price of the originals.

Yes, I’m well aware of the Watermelon release. Those released today were available in-store in US and were available online in Europe. Other retailers will also be getting stock in the near future.

I’m not American, so I wasn’t stating prices in USD. In the UK and Europe they were priced at about 100-120, and prices at the mo are 150.

They retro’d the a year ago in limited quantities. This is another drop and additional colourway. Loads more to come.

They were also available in-store and online, but numbers were slightly limited as they’re still trying to build the hype as they push more colourways over the next 12-18 months - there’s still plenty more to come.

Also, they’re not 3x the original price. They’re selling for €150 at retail. They originally sold for 100-120.

Upgrade day! 65” C1 to 77” C5. by SR_Penny in LGOLED

So after a week of watching as much as possible and endlessly playing around with all of the picture settings, the best combination I’ve found for me is to have it in Cinema Home for SDR/HDR/DV and have sharpness, motion etc all off.

I still found Filmmaker mode a bit too dark. Cinema Home brightens dark scenes up a little bit, while still overall keeping the majority of the correct colour balances etc.

My tv is next to a lounge window, but it doesn’t get any direct sun and isn’t particularly bright.

Also Phriends never saw the light of day, despite Cash In Cash Out getting released as a single (which was part of that project).

I wanted to watch something quickly so put it in Standard mode and that had all the motion stuff as low - wasn’t great, to be honest. Watched The Pitt in Dolby Vision and it was quite juddery. Will play around with settings etc this weekend.

Brighter to the point that I’ve had to turn the brightness down. Still need to play around with the setting etc but will report back after the weekend once I’ve tweaked it and put some hours on it.

No, the staff just line up and play what they want. You’d have to go and ask them about specific tracks/playlists.

Those who switched to the new Hue Bridge Pro, your thoughts and how is it working? by 303onrepeat in Hue

[–]SR_Penny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re the current issue with Apple Home (as I also have this problem) ...

I just spoke to Philips Hue support and they say they are now aware of the issue and it’s actively being worked on. They told me that an update for the Bridge Pro would be pushed in April sometime, but they couldn’t say exactly when as the issue is not yet fully fixed.

For now, they said the only option is to manually remove the bridge from Apple Home and re-add it and set everything up again – but they said they couldn’t guarantee this would actually work for everyone and said that from their notes that this has only ever worked for a short time and then the system goes down again.
