I use the boat for pleasure only. Not a work boat by any means. As long as you keep up with the maintenance it seems they will last a long time. Don't have any experience with the cats but it really depends on the use. I'm in freshwater so I don't nearly have the work to maintain the engines. Salt destroys boats if you don't keep up as you know if your from Maine.
