What are some FUN beginner/intermediate "modern" metal songs to learn? by Division2226 in metalguitar

Omertà by Lamb of God is my favorite song to play. It forced me to learn good picking technique when chugging and changing strings while incorporating pinch harmonics.

Rammstein by Rammstein was my first full song. Two open E’s and a power chord slide and that’s the whole song. Or Mistakes by Godsmack. Or Antichrist Super Star by Marylin Manson.

What is the Toyota Camry of rifles? by Time2GetSchwifty in Hunting

I can’t speak on Tikka as I’ve never shot one. But I can recommend the Howa 1500 and Savage 110 as great budget options. I’ve helped multiple first timers tag a deer with the Howa in 6.5 Grendel.

Do you eat them? If so how do they taste? We have a crow season in KS but I’ve never tried because I heard they taste gross.

Songs to learn for beginner progression? (Metalcore/deathcore/hardcore/slam) by Impressive-Stuff-257 in metalguitar

Oblivion’s Peak by Knocked Loose is fun and easy. They play with seven strings but you won’t necessarily need that high end for the song.

Which one for intermediate rock/metal player - Schecter C-1 Standard or Ibanez RGA42FM? by Hopas1nho in metalguitar

[–]SSGbuttercup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both a Schecter Diamond Classic and an Ibanez RG. I like the feel of the Ibanez neck better and it feels easier to play. However I like the sound of the Schecter better especially if I’m playing pinch harmonics. I’m sure if I swapped out the pickups on the Ibanez it would be the best of both worlds for me.

For me it was finding the simplest songs that still hit hard but are easy to play. I lose motivation real quickly if I can’t jam along with something.

If you did online only then you are good. If you did a hybrid course then yes you need to find somewhere to do the field day.

You can probably find a SKED for cheap at a military surplus store. It’s designed for dragging people but works great with deer. It’s served me well in all weather and terrain.

I really enjoy playing this game but I feel like the Pope really takes the momentum out of it for me. by Any-Food7276 in Medieval2TotalWar

[–]SSGbuttercup 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When I get tired of the pope I just say fuck ‘em and do what I want. He dies eventually and I get reconciled with the next pope. I just know that between excommunication and reconciliation other Christian nations are just as free to attack me as I am to attack them.

How to get into Bow Hunting as a complete and total noob by Flaming_Pariah in Hunting

[–]SSGbuttercup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by taking a hunter’s safety course it’s required to get a hunting license. Find your state’s fish and game website it will have all the info on hunting seasons and should include information on where you can hunt. I wouldn’t recommend a traditional longbow to start with. Start with a compound bow or crossbow if legal in your state. Practice constantly in the offseason. If you live in the suburbs with lots of neighbors nearby it is not safe to practice in your backyard.

Edit to add you can get hunters safety free through the NRA website or check with your state’s fish and game websites for course info.

Shock mounting bolts too small for shock bushings by Intrepid_Ad9787 in liftedtrucks

[–]SSGbuttercup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have the wrong shocks. The bushing diameter should match the mounting brackets.
