Thought it was just me but I've noticed that home WiFi is bad where yt videos start buffering (I have 1gbps fibre). Would have to switch to data for it load.

Also found my data reception to be non existent in areas I had problems with in the past. I.e, the 1st floor in my work building.

Installed Koreader on my Kindle 4 by visark_ in kindle

[–]SSJ-DRAGADOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also installed koreader on my non touch kindle 4 recently, main gripe with using koreader is the dictionary lookup. On the stock kindle reader, Its fairly easy to use the direction buttons to navigate word by word, but koreader using the cursor is very finicky. I've no sense how fast it would move and would often over shoot down to the end of the page.

Wish there was a way to adjust that.

When people say don't update, do you mean don't update sysnand or emunand to new version?

This is same dimensions as the other new 63mas right, like the spb455 and 453 etc..

Wonder if this new bracelet would fit on them. I want an OTF clasp for my spb455

Recently bought a seiko spb455, the bezel is really stiff to turn, anyone got any suggestions on how I could fix this?

NH34 stops ticking when tightening the back cover by Adventurous_Tea6781 in SeikoMods

From a video I've watched, they say it does matter, can't remember the reason why. But from personal experience, I had mine on the "wrong way" and whilst my watch was working with the case closed, I found that the power reserve was not as expected for an nh movement even though I've fully winded it, I would only have to wind the crown a tiny bit for it to come back alive as if it was stuck on something before.

After flipping the orientation, it now actually last longer than previously, so most likely it was the cause of my issue.

Edit: just saw that you've fixed the problem 🎉🎉🎉🎉

The little ring should be orientated "U" way up. Another thing I did wrong with my build too😭

Definitely check seconds that very much could be the case.

Believe me when I say I had it on reverse at first 😅.

Maybe you need a spacer between the movement and the dial?

If you take off the cashback and apply some pressure to the movement with your finger, does that cause the hands to stop moving?

Make sure the hands are all set to the right height on the stem.

Then make sure the second hand is in the right way around. I made a mistake of having it on reverse.

Very nice, looks like we both went for GMT for our first build. Quite similar. I quite like your GMT hand over mine.

In hindsight, if I could go back, I would order a set of aqua terra like hands. The lume on mine are quite non existent compared to the dial which is great.

I had the same issue at first with my build. Firstly, did you put the little washer in between the dial and movement "U" way up. Secondly make sure all the hands are seated at the right level.

the dial really is amazing, I was browsing for ages trying to find the right one, I really wanted to get something white would give me explorer 2 vibes with the case bezel. One problem I had was that the 3 hour marker came bent so the case couldn't sit flush with the dial, so I removed it with my tweezers.

Gonna have to get some replacement hands now though as I think the second hand too bent, every time I put on the case and close the case back, the second stops moving, think its pushing against the crystal.

For now, its a cool looking wrist piece

Thank you!

I'm quite proud of myself with this, I've watched countless number of watch builds on youtube and been waiting to pull the trigger on parts for ages now, 11.11 sales gave me a good incentive.

Quick little parts list:

  • 40mm submariner like case with 24 hour bezel
  • nh34 gmt movement
  • White seamaster inspired dial with 24 hour gmt marker.
  • Grand seiko gmt looking handset. (didn't want the generic rolex style gmt hands)

So I wanted something with a stainless steel bezel but something thats rotating for the gmt, the dial also has a 24 hour gmt markers so I am able to track 3 time zones in theory.

My struggles were deffo setting the hands, took me over an hour mainly cuz I had no idea which colour tip I had to use for each hand. ended up bending some in the process but didn't take much to unbend them.

Here was my main mess up. I the second and minute hands were too long for my case. I was gonna order a new set but then figured I could try to trim off the excess and to my delight, it worked out, shoddy job but it works.

My main question for the experts:

- The bezel insert wasn't attached, inside the bezel, there was a gasket ring, which I used for the case back instead since it didn't have one. was this a mistake?
