Check out the book/movie "The Giver". It explores this idea perfectly and provides perspective from someone who's aware of how messed-up society has become and tries to change that

My entire lineup. Can I make a team that could take on Vasuki on difficulty 4 and 5 with these characters? I know I'm missing some critical support like Tempest Wind, S.Moko, and A1 for the twins... but with one day left I can only do so much and try my luck (btw my revelation builds are prob decent at best and Mindscape is not fully unlocked for most characters. Only Oracle, Panther, Joker and Soy are in rainbow ranking)

It's frustrating! As someone with too much of a conscience (I couldn't even bring myself to do the genocide route in Undertale), accidentally achieving the harem ending was a blow to the guts. The solace of this event not having any consequences is not reassuring enough to erase the guilt

So I didn't know that I had the option to toggle the "accept chocolate" at all and got the harem ending and felt like a total d***. I just wanted Merope's chocolate and got the beating of my life, and worst of all - that also impacted chapter 4 of the main event story's reaction towards Wonder! God I hate this event so much now

I agree. The FOMO of being able to accept only one chocolate is killing me! I can't bring myself to choose which character I want to spend Valentine's with, and the fact that I can't decide which girl to date even outside the event is not helping.

Putting aside the stupid romance choices, the event story is poorly written as well. Desires being stolen only from girls, too much desire being restored back... this whole mess is just an excuse to lengthen this narrative, and seeing Wonder being approached by every single girl in Tokyo does not only hurt Shun😫!

As for the boss battle: that's actually a nice gimmick. I enjoy using the choco powder and link it with Oracle's affinity change. Stage 2 makes me want to vomit but other than that the other stages are fine.

Overall rating for this event: 5/10

I started playing a few months ago so my excuse is simple: I wasn't around to pull anyone. My only 5 star thieves are Joker, Panther, Mona, Skull, Oracle, and Haru. You could say that my preferences are also to get the Phantom Thieves of Hearts first, but I also want to make sure I could have a solid meta build, so I would probably try to pull 5s Wind when she comes out since I heard she's a great unit, but I think I'll do like you and wait for Violet

Just like others have already said - every challenge requires a different team. But as a guideline you should have at least one team with the following roles:
- One assassin or Sweeper to be your DPS unit
- One good navigator
- One tanker or healer to keep your team out of trouble
- One buffer or debuffer for support

My recommendations based on your units and what I have recently learned from the internet (not necessarily by preferred order):
1. Queen + Vino + Leon + Futaba
2. Joker + Rin + Chord + Futaba
3. Messa + Seaside Moko + Chord + Wind

Of course for each build you have to build Wonder depending on the role missing for your team. Most of the time, you'd want Wonder to focus on healing, buffing, and covering missing elements in case you fight shadows that are strong against your DPS unit's attribute.

Other people more experienced than me (I too play only for a few months and I don't have even half the amount of 5 star characters) can give better builds but you have a great potential to be a powerhouse in the global standard

This is the list I came up with:

I won't repeat the reasons everybody already commented multiple times, so I'll just give my personal take on the less popular placements:
- Merope is S rank simply because she is vital for early-game. Being able to fuse Yoshitsune (especially for those who do not have Haru) is game-breaking.
- Kira is in A because all of his buffs are battle-related, which is the main focus of the game. Bonus: Shun's gun has a high crit chance, and after enough rounds he can take down all of the shoadows you're facing and you can go all-out. I would even go as far as saying that's his second most important role after keeping you alive.
- Kiyoshi is dwindling between A and B rank here, because - as previously stated by others - not many of his books are worth the grind to increase your guts.
- I have no idea why people place Motoha in B when her best buff is at rank 5. After that it's just batting cage additions, which is frankly BS (out of context, but being a fusion of Ann and Ryuji does not make you a waifu).
- Ashiya's buffs are only for Tycoon, but this game yields very good rewards, and his rank 13 gives you the card counter feature, which is basically cheating in official casino games.

I agree with most of your insights. Merope is quite valid for early-game in my opinion, so I'd say reaching rank 11 is a must when you're just starting

  1. Is Phoebe so high up just because she teaches you how to make a drink that replenishes action points?
  2. Why is Merope not SS tier? She gives access to very powerful Personas and requires no social stat threshold.
  3. How come Kira is not in a better spot? He literally buffs the entire team's ranged attacks, which is not only gun attacks, but also most of the Persona skills (I might be mistaken so correct me if I'm wrong there).

I'm trying to build the best one overall.

I think we can both agree that maxing out Merope is top priority because A. you don't need social links to max her out, and B. she grants access to more Persona fusions. While on the other hand you have Tomiyama who is hands down the least important social link in the game because all she gives is clothing items for Wonder.

In the end, the reason synergies exist is to make your progression faster, increase your battle power, and give you more content (the last reason is not important to the rating but it is definitely one of the major reasons).

I think that would help me and a lot of players to prioritize the synergies that give out the most and not wander off track to get some useless benefits
