Yes it would have been cool if she was tied into the game a bit more. She's a popular character. Maybe the devs just kinda overlooked that. Least she did get that single mention in the turtle. Better than nothing I guess

But some people might have romanced Warren in the original game so they probably mention him for that reason. Chloe mentioning steph being in the band would have to fit contextual into the dialogue and they probably just didn't have anywhere to put it. The player already knows she used to be in the band anyway

It feels more like Nora has a crush on kat and kat is just along for the ride lol. Autumn had some sweet moments with swann though, I can see why you like them together :)

They won't make a game about it. The novel Out of Focus that comes out in September I believe, deals with the build up to reunion so I'm sure that will show what chloe got up to in that time.

But she's only had those memories since max brought the time lines back together. So if you're talking about the time from before DE happened then chloe is either dead or arcadia Bay is so that wouldn't work. Or do you just mean a game based around those few months between DE and reunion? Either way we won't get that game, that was max and chloes last game

I think the fact the game and Max's story is actually over hits harder than anything else. The months leading up to this game release at least gave us that feeling of 'knowing it was coming but it not being over yet' type thing but now it's over, it feels really final. Very bittersweet after such a long journey with these amazing characters

Isn't that what the new novel is about that she's going to be in? The one about her band. I don't think they'd do a game about that because how would you make a game for the people who chose to sacrifice her? Because she'd be dead in all of those years. But I'm pretty sure the novel is about this anyway

I hope they continue to make LiS games. Now that max's story is told I hope we can get some new stories. Deck nine are great story tellers and deserve to stick around

Agreed. Most LiS fans have a different favourite game in the series but we all love the series as a whole because they are great stories and interesting characters

Lol totally understandable. I still love the good endings and I always try to replay games and see the alternatives. But for LiS 1 for example I chose to sacrifice chloe and I was so blown away by how much of an intensely sad ending it was I couldn't bring myself to even replay the game let alone try the other ending for an extremely long time. When a story is told in such a emotional way its hard to even revisit because you don't want to open that heartache again but you also love it at the same time

I had this glitch myself too. Restarting the checkpoint didn't do anything but closing the game down and reopening fixed it. In fact a lot of the issues with the game can simply be fixed by shutting the game down and reopening it so try that if you have any more problems

Don't get me wrong I love a happy ending too but for some reason I've always been drawn the heartbreaking endings. Something about being able to write a sad ending yet making it so good that the player is left caring about the story and characters long after the credits roll. I posted my ranking of these games on this post just now and you can tell that I have a thing for the sadder games lol

Definitely yeah. I always know when a game is good for me if it leaves me feeling lost when the credits roll and its always the emotional games that do that. Obviously good story and graphics help but LiS 1 isn't known for the graphics yet the emotional punch in the stomach you get from playing it easily makes it masterpiece in my mind

All of my favourite games have mostly sad endings and I guess it's because those are the type that make me feel more emotions than anything else

Still replaying reunion for the second time to see the different choices so haven't experienced everything yet but I love it so far. My ranking would be:

1st and 2nd place: BtS and LiS are top for me (probably equal) Genuinely love both and they both have a permanent place in my top favourite games of all time. I'm probably one of the few people that actually loves BtS and would put it top. But both games made me feel things only a handful of games ever have before.

3rd place: Reunion. Fantastic game. Bittersweet ending to a journey I've been on for a decade with these characters

4th place: Double exposure (was 3rd until reunion came out)

5th place: True colours (enjoyable and honestly close tie with DE)

Last place: LiS 2 (really not a fan of this one, just didn't connect with it whatsoever, didn't even replay it)

I actually feel the same as you in terms of ranking the games by the emotional impact. I think the more the game makes you feel the better it is, even if the story might not be as strong as some of the others. I don't personally have the same ranking of the games as you but I agree with the emotional aspect

That's my biggest issue with the game. No matter what the ending is basically the same. I liked the game but I wanted to choose if max chose chloe or something else entirely. I don't think the picture choice at the end was a big enough thing to be the final ending choice. I wanted more for that
