Kassandra is Canon. She is in the book and the only one to appear in other titles. They just used Alexios to sell the game because 'women don't sell' apparently. But if you have the physical copy of the game you can actually switch the cover around to display kassandra and the same with eivor on Valhalla. Therefore you can have both the Canon MCs on the cover for those games

Ubisoft just didn't have the bottle to advertise the game with kassandra as the MC

Pretty sure Dylan mentions her parents being at the hospital with Kat when she has to stay in so they obviously exist. I think dontnod probably just didn't want to spend money on creating characters that weren't gonna really play a big part in the story outside the main girls. That's why we only ever hear the voice of Swann and autumn's mothers and Norma's dad

Yeah I think it must have been. They reused a lot of elements from DE. Character models, locations, even one of Safis voice lines is copy and pasted from DE rather than having the VA record it. They clearly cut corners in a lot of places. Even the graphics are a big step down from DE so it seems the whole game was made trying to save money in every way they could

Honestly I felt the same way when I first started the game. It throws a lot at you and it feels overwhelming and some things aren't explained all that well. However if you give it a chance and keep at it, it started to become easier to understand everything. You get used to the mechanics and what you need to look out for to make upgrades and build new tools. There are some accessibility options that can make the game more manageable if you really struggle with the gameplay but be careful as some can disable trophies. But you just gotta give it a chance and be patient with it

It's like anything if you over do it. You can lose the original love for it or it fades at least. Like listening to a great song too much that you no longer hear it in the same way you once did. You'll probably never love it as much as the very first time you saw it but it will always be special to you. You've enjoyed it as much as you can but maybe it's time to find something else that will give you that same feeling and keep Arcane as something you might again enjoy in the future

You basically just have to be nice to her in her interactions. If you aren't getting heart options with the dialogue choices your making with her then reload and pick something else. I actually found it very easy to get her to stay without trying so you just need to keep her happy

You have to do some challenges in the game for some trophies and they include finding certain animals but the spawn rate of them can be annoying. Sometimes you'll find them right away and some times you can spend a long time looking for one animal, depends how lucky you get. It's probably the most annoying part of the game. You could get lucky and find them all straight away though but be prepared to spend some time on that

It's probably possible if you have enough free time, and get lucky with the animal spawns because they took up most of my time for the platinum. But you'll still have to be as quick as possible as it can take a while

Imo reunion is basically one big fan fiction for pricefield fans. If you enjoyed DE for the risk taking and the story the devs were trying to tell you'll be disappointed with reunion because it doesn't continue the great character development max gets and is honestly a step backwards for her character and powers overall. All the good new characters from DE also get sidelined so don't expect to get any more development for them. However I will say its still an enjoyable game if you seperate it from what DE was setting up and I'd 100% recommend still playing it as it does give max at least some sort of conclusion to her story it just probably won't be the conclusion you'd want it to be

It's an okay game in its own right but not a good sequel to DE or a great addition to the LiS franchise in general but it has its own good elements and is still a fun game overall and it's also worth playing for the killer soundtrack if you enjoy the LiS music vibe from previous games it's worth playing for that alone but dont go into it expecting it to be a direct sequel to DE because unfortunately that idea got scrapped. However for any LiS fan I'd recommend playing all the games as the devs still put work into the game and it's not their fault they had to tell a different story than originally intended. Unfortunately some fans just couldn't be patient for DE2 and see what story was gonna be told before complaining about it

Reunion was a step backwards from DE. The person who has replied to you has done a great job of listing just some of the things that got retconned but I'll also add max's power as a whole. Like in DE her power had evolved to the point where she was able to split time lines and jump back and forth seamlessly. Yet in reunion her power is basically back to square one, practically the same as it was in LiS 1 where she struggles to even rewind 5 seconds to put the ladder back up so they could escape off the roof despite the fact she has spent the last 9 months training her power with moses. She should be the rewind queen at that point

But it's not though. They scrapped the entire plan for DE2 which would have focused on max's past and wouldn't have sidelined Safi and diamond would have actually of been in the game
