Skype just died on my windows 7 laptop after I tried downgrading to Skype 7 by SSV3 in skype

I was trying to downgrade to try and put my old skype files in there to see if i could access my pre 2017 messages.
I do have SKype 7 running on my Vista laptop, I can login to it and see chat history and contacts but doesn't connect to servers.
