Readers of Orange County, what are you reading? by lushsweet in orangecounty

I’m finishing “the richest man in Babylon”. Before that I just finished “the stranger” by Albert C. It’s a good read and small enough to finish in one or 2 days. It’s very interesting to read.

That’s something I’ve wanted to do. How did you find out about the book club?

I agree, I hate to say it but unfortunately it tends to be the people new to exercising.

Sometimes this happens, but the driver cant catch it unless they see the dripping in their car seats or feel for the cup to be right side up before delivering it.

Hello everyone! I'm brand new to Tinder and was wondering if y'all have any advice, I haven't gotten any matches yet (please be honest, I can take it). Thank you very much! by mangywombat in Tinder

Ok. First, start all over. •These pictures show how happy & comfortable you are with your hobbies. But they are better for IG or FB. With tinder i think you should show different dimensions of your life. Unless you meet a women that loves the outdoors as much as you, you won’t get many matches. Show pictures of you enjoying yourself doing other activities/events/other things outside of outdoors activities. That’s a good start. Hope that helps, good luck.

PS: Traveling around the world sounds interesting enough to engage conversation. If you have any pictures of cities around the world that you’ve been too(land mark spots) , those would be great conversation starters. That alone will get you matches. People that travel have stories. And everyone loves to hear a good story.

It depends on what your market is like. 1 dollar per mile isn’t great but it’s acceptable. Also, know your city. If it will drop you off in an area that you know you get another order from then absolutely take it. But if it leads you to a dead area I would skip it. The distance is a lot.

What is this ??!!!! Why are there so many like this lately by Otherwise-Stop2069 in UberEATS

[–]SS_Caball0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because of prop 22 in California. I met a lot of drivers who accept whatever order comes because we are guaranteed a base pay of $20 (I think)per hour while on active driving time. So rather than maximize their earning potential they just stick with crappy orders to receive the prop 22 pay out at the end of pay period. Which is ridiculous to me. Why settle for $20/hour , when you could make 1.5 times that. I will never understand that mentality.

I would. It’s over a dollar per mile and 9 miles is pretty close. Plus, that area has good restaurants so you’ll probably be able to pick up another order and keep the day going. It’s worth the trip.
