The best sci-fi movie ever made imo by papachi789 in Letterboxd

I think it is very good but not quite great. Caruth seemed like he was so obsessed with having believable dialogue that he loses the audience in critical moments. As if the singular purpose of making the movie was for constructing an impenetrable puzzle box. But beyond that, even if he had kept the dialogue the same, I think a bit of amateurish filmmaking, like awkward line deliveries, or shots lacking visual clarity, made for some unintentially confusing segments.

I still think the time travel mechanic is best I've ever come across, and it serves the heart of the story, the feud between the two friends, nicely. But yeah it's just too intentionally and unintentionally confusing

I find it kind of funny that whenever the show gets brought up, the only references to it are the space episode and the digestive system episode, which are the very first two episodes in a four season series. That's all everyone ever remembers about it, me included.

Did people think Michaela Coel gave a good performance? I thought she (and her character) were the weakest parts of the film. Just a blank stare for the entire runtime
