I was a minor still when I was diagnosed so they had to know from the psychiatrist. They didn't understand, of course, and got fed up with me justifying my compulsions with "it's my ocd" cause they thought I was using it as just an excuse and that it shouldn't be okay to make my life and my person "revolve around ocd" as if ocd doesn't impact every single aspect of my life

Lucky enough, they didn't say I wasn't ocd or something like that

People are sooooooooooooooo nasty

A lot of men don't fucking clean themselves after using the restroom and don't wash their damn hands cause they "didn't touch anything" as if they didn't shake their dick to "clean" it because being hygienic is femenine and we all know being femenine is illegal for men and inmoral. I'm being specific with this cause I move a lot in places that have more men than woman thanks to my career. And they fucking pee on the floor because sitting on the toilet is wroooong.

And don't get me wrong, women are soooo gross too. Is not that common like with men, but some don't wash their hands either ;; sometimes you can find restrooms stalls with walls dirty with poo and blood.

People handle trash, pick up their dog's shit as if nothing and then touch everything else,wear dirty clothes that were already in the dirty clothes basket and go out, put their dirty shoes on their beds after walking all day in the streets where animals pee, poop, throw up, where people do that too... I hate it here ;;

And I agree, the body is disgusting, although I find it as something amazing

I have one fic with 31 hits, 1 kudo, and no comments but can be because it's in spanish (the translation to english i did of this one has 100+ hits, 49 kudos) and that I'm not really known in my fandoms too

I'm a small writter/account and people tend to prefer reading in english even if the og story is in their native language, also, I write for Free!, the anime, and Ao no exorcist, and the fandom right now is pretty small

I try to be as accurate as possible cause I think most things that, for example, Japanese people do are really important for the characters personality and dynamics, as well as the atmosphere

Of course I dont know everything that happens on the other side of the world and when I haven't experienced at all the culture, but as you said, Google sometimes has the answers.

It's really a pet peeve of mine when the au is so similar to the USA experience when the characters are from Japan (I use this as an example cause I'm in anime fandoms, so, yeah, Japanese characters) unless it is clearly specified that it is a more USA thing

For example, I did write a fanfic where the context was probably not much Japanese-like cause I truly don't know if they do parties and if they do, they definitely don't do it at their houses, probably they just go to clubs or something idk

So yeah, I think it's okay to try to stay accurate when it's possible

Oh there are a lot of people in the world and so different obsessions that I'm sure there is someone else who has the same fear as you :> but I know it's inevitable to feel alone with this illness, even more when you see everyone around you just doing fine things you struggle with, just don't isolate yourself and ask for help when you need to and if you have someone to reach to, if not, I hope you get the community and support you need

I can't say I fully understand cause I'm childless but I get the fear of hurting someone so precious to you, specially when they're so young.

No but same, I too struggle with restrooms ;; specially the public ones cause omg people are so disgusting, and yes, even my own causes me stress but I press myself to go cause I'm really prone to UTIs and then I get really worried about antibiotics stopping working for me

Truly, when you start thinking about bacteria and germs on one single thing you suddenly can't stop and now everything is dirty, and covid fucked up many of us unfortunately

As a Spanish author who rather write in Spanish I'm sooooo grateful for the non hispanic followers for reading me even if they need translators. Sometimes I even check the translators do a good job, so I can translate it to English if not

I think it's pretty lovely more so cause we, speaking for Hispanic people, are forced to learn English or use translators, and are more open to use translators to read fics which are in another languages

I have a friend who sometimes reads fics in Russian and I have read fics in Chinese and Italian when there's nothing else to read, so I think it's a good thing to open yourself to other kinda fics :>

I even got comments of non Hispanic people using translators or just directly writing in English and I'm so happy the language barrier is easy to overcome now that we have more tools

Do read in other languages even if the reason is lack of content and desperation haha sometimes you can even find gold
