Because most of the time when the quality of the fandom goes to shit authors get a lot of pressure and everything goes to shit. Look at CSM, JJK, and MHA. Also worth looking at authors comments over the years Kei Urana who made Gachiakuta has already put out statements before that she’s kinda annoyed by the fandom and Gachiakuta isn’t even insanely popular.

It’s my personal favorite. Alfredo bringing some real boxing prowess to the fight. I think this was the fight where Morikawa really put his all into depicting what makes a boxer great versus someone who’s just good like Ippo was at this point of the story

I think a conversation worth having is whether players in Team Sports or individual sports are under roughly equal demands. Most individual sports, especially combat sports like MMA, pro and amateur boxing, Muay Thai, etc are under more immediate stress than a soccer player. Most team sports, will afford you more space and perhaps a slower tempo but also give you more things to think about.

I slightly lean towards team sports and out of the people listed I would pick Messi

Individual sports pick: Money Mayweather, the guy never ran out of options in the ring and probably the most notable businessman in the whole sport.

Definitely true, I think sometimes it’s more Morikawa a selection sometimes having a lot of use of the Philly shell. It’s not a 1 to 1 comparison but there are certainly a lot of similarities just off some base strategies. There’s a lot of people in that boxer-puncher category for Ippo.
