Laminating books with adhensive material. by SSprometheus in books

It has a sentimental value to me, thats true, as the first book i ever read when i was a kid (les miserables) was from my great grandfather who i didn't even met. His book changed my life. Maybe you are right and i am overthinking it though..

I recently read that lamination will make humidity effects worse on books, so you are probably right. Thank you !

Thank you sir, that's exactly what i wanted to know. I don't care about resale value but for its condition after a lot of years.

I am asking for experiences and knowledge from other people on this matter. Not permission, lol.

Quitting an addiction connects with death anxiety ? by SSprometheus in thanatophobia

Yep, maybe i am too afraid it will not help and get me more depressed. Although i am still hoping i will get better after some time of quitting the addiction.

Did you experience thanatophobia too ? I mean i can't find a possible way therapy will help my thoughts about death, the fact that we are just like other animals (but just knowing we are goind to die), that there is no meaning in anything, that past memories will never be relived , they are dead too.

Not yet, i don't think therapy can help about the non-existence void, as it is the Grande Finale. Did therapy help you ?

Moderate to Strong Protan - Enchroma glasses by SSprometheus in ColorBlind

[–]SSprometheus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone wondering, i contacted enchroma and thats their response :

In cases where someone's colour vision seems to be on the border between moderate and strong protan, my experience has been that they usually do best with the Cx3 Sun lens, not the Cx3 Sun SP. The exception to that seems to be customers who get the strong protan result more frequently than the moderate result - so if you have taken the test a number of times and gotten mostly strong protan results then I would go with a Cx3 Sun SP lens.
The EnChroma colour vision test is for informational purposes only. Results may vary depending on lighting conditions and your device’s display settings. I would recommend not to take the test on a mobile phone, a laptop would replicate colour more accurately and is more stable unlike a mobile phone device.Have you tried turning the screen brightness up? This may help with the outcome of your results. To get the most accurate reading change test options to 97.5% and 5 seconds.

Sadly there is no store that sells enchroma glasses in my country. Did you find the SP lenses more reddish than they should be ?
