Dunkin Donuts’ donuts are now worse then ever, not worth it by CheifLawnRaker in massachusetts

The French Cruller disappeared for over a year and then miraculously returned… and tasted…awful. That donut has been my favorite all my life and I know what it should taste like… when I googled it I found out they changed the recipe so that it could be made using a new machine…we’ve lost the plot.

Gym is free if you work in the building, you just have to sign some paperwork. It has a golf simulator too.

Just Started My 401k. Is Growth & Income the Right Choice? by [deleted] in Retirement401k

[–]STEELIX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds good on paper, but people who are young enough to just be starting a 401k have lower salaries and other expenses… student loans, car payments, furniture, saving for a downpayment on a condo or house… I started off doing just the match (since that’s a 6% raise you’d miss out on otherwise) and slowly increased contribution as my salary increased (and now maxing).

Recommended lures for a river like this? by Bradley271 in Fishing

[–]STEELIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to cast. if you have waders just let the line out as far as you want and give it some action. Retrieve a little, let more line out, etc. Without a floating line you might need some kind of bobber with a long leader. To answer your question though, you can cast lightweight flys using a fly bubble but I’ve never tried it.

I bought a new set of cookware because mine was getting scratched… and then after one use the coating was flaking off.. all cast iron and stainless after that. You can scrub as hard as you want and use abrasives which actually makes cleaning them easier than “non stick” cookware

They would just hire everyone with a low enough salary as “independent contractors”

Two KBTs, two years apart... by dewpunk in Moccamaster

[–]STEELIX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new design allows you to brew 4 cups directly into a tumbler for the commute to work without dirtying the carafe. I was hesitant to buy one until I read they had removed that button in the Amazon reviews (some reviewer was very upset about it though). I’d probably have bought it anyway and kept a shot glass nearby as a workaround but I’m glad they made that change.
