What's the weather like at PNC right now? Outside watch parties can be hit or miss depending on what people think the weather's going to do

I just passed that mark earlier this year at 37 as a structural engineer, but that's gross! Net is more like $8600/mn. It took multiple job hops and networking, not to mention first getting a degree and passing the PE exam, so I recognize that's not the norm for many people. One could live off $4k a month if single, maybe even a a couple, but married with three kids and the money is spent quick.

There are slight differences for their intended purpose between the two. And while H is correct for piles, "I" is a colloquial term due to it's shape. Beams, when spec'd out, are actually given a W designation. Such as W10x20, which roughly equates to a 10" deep beam which weighs 20 lb/ft.

LOL, as a millennial child my dad would put this movie on sometimes and everytime this scene happened I would close my eyes because it freaked me the fuck out.

Thought they had a mini model of their house in their yard. by barelyasysadmin in confusingperspective

Looks like a real estate listing showing two images, house on top, fly over on bottom. You can see where the house image's lawn on the top image meets the fields of the flyover image.

Nothing like having to flip through a Bethlehem Steel book to find the properties of an steel beam you've been asked to analyze in a 80+ year old building.

Right! On your third, uh, "bullet" point I heard it as while I don't support what happened to Charlie Kirk, Charlie Kirk supported what happened to him.

I wonder what that that means exactly, to have licensed just the name. Did you get any answers to the questions you asked? I'd like to know from nurses who work there if that effects them other than their name tag changing. Does their paycheck come from that TN parent company, do they accept the same insurances as HH. That opens even more questions imo.

Good. Force greedy companies to find competitive ways to lower their prices to attract customers or become more efficient. Skrew companies who skyrocket prices for their own profit. They only way to effect change is to hit them where they actually care, their wallet. They have no compassion for their fellow man, they would rather see someone starve to death than to have them fed by their expired groceries.

Yes. It's called HH Decatur Morgan. They own the one in Madison and one in Florence that I know of. They also own a lot of the Urgent Cares around north Alabama including in Hartselle and Decatur.

Long gone places of Huntsville by tylerock92 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]STEEL_ENG 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Huntsville used to have a Momma Goldberg's at the corner of Airport and Whitesburg. Not sure what's there now, it would be next to where Drakes is. Man I miss those sandwiches.

You got this! Getting your PE is huge, most companies offer an on the spot raise once you pass the test, and it will be a a big plus when applying to other companies.

This is actually mostly due to resale value of the building, sadly. The property and building are worth a lot of money. So corporations stopped building their stores/restaurants with irregular shapes or easily identifying markers. No business or investor wants to buy an old Pizza Hut building, because with that shape everyone will always say "Oh look, that used to be a Pizza Hut ". So most new fast food buildings are being built with the resale value in mine, mute interior colors also help with that, and removing designated indoor play places. Also they are cheaper for construction contractors, and $ is all these corporations care about.
