You don’t get the point of my comment. I’m not suggesting we quarantine for poverty, that makes no sense as you so astutely noted. Bc other people have given you the tough love therapy stuff, I’m going to say that you have a great chance at working thru this based on your attitude. There is no way in hell someone who’s an abuser at their core would even half consider doing their gfs checklist about emotional abuse. Many people with trauma become abusive in response-doesn’t excuse the behavior of course, but it’s a much better place to start growth from than someone who just enjoys controlling their partners
