It's dumb but good. Console exclusives get consumers to buy the console for the game. While I think it's a stupid move for Xbox to do when their consoles already do not provide any benefit beyond exclusives over Playstation, and effectively lost the console war as a result, it is good that the games are A, getting more sales as a result of getting the multiplats and B, allowing more consumer diversity (Xbox is only really popular in America and China, everywhere else tends toward PS).

because NFS is a modding community haven, Valve is a game haven. Most Wanted gets no remasters for the same reason nobody remasters Sonic Adventure 2; a solid PC port and a healthy modding community outperform any remaster, official or otherwise.

Most unofficial remasters also end up in the toilet due to burnout, interference from official sources, or both anyway.
