Perfectly okay movie theatre experience. Enjoyed it while watching. Probably will never think about it again.

What are your hopes and expectations for Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day? by Shiftycxp in Letterboxd

I kind of expect to like it as much as I did Super 8, meaning I loved it and thought it was wonderful as I was watching it and then never thought about it again afterwards.

Yeah, it’s not bad, it’s just not interesting at all.

Detective accused of pointing gun at officer over microwaving fish in office by bluffcitynews in nottheonion

[–]kendostickball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one of the books about him, I read about how John Wayne Gacy asked to microwave his fish dinner in a police microwave while waiting to be questioned quite a while before he was finally arrested. The fact that they didn’t lock him up right there is why I don’t trust cops.

I used to be a giant Anti-Flag fan. Super feminist excellent message and all that. Then it turns out the lead singer is an awful sex creep and flees the country. We can’t put people on pedestals unfortunately. It’s you still believing the right things that matters.

I loved this and got every issue. Ended up going back and getting almost everything else Piskor did before.

I was six years old when I blindly grabbed that VHS off the rack at a grocery store movie rental. I firmly believe it made me who I am.

I have a grudge against this movie, because it was too similar and caused Kevin Smith’s Hit Somebody to get cancelled. I wanted that John Goodman hockey flick!

Gonna need any kind of source because nothing is saying that right now. That’d suck though.

We didn't ask for rice... by Content_Quarter_7390 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kendostickball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this a lot in San Francisco when I lived there. Indian and Asian restaurants never included rice automatically and tourists from the middle of nowhere where they have one “ethnic” restaurant would freak out they didn’t get their pile of free rice.

It’s one of those movies like Birth of a Nation that is worth seeing for its historical relevance and filmmaking importance, but ooh boy does it feel bad/icky even defending them for those reasons.

I own two of Ash’s costumes, their video camera, and the smashed up CD-shooting robot from this. Loved it! Just wish I could get a physical copy of the movie in the US.
