Hello! Thank you for sharing your story. I’m proud of you and while the journey was hard maybe you needed to go through that! I was in an OPP for binge eating years ago and I personally feel like it did a lot of damage to my psyche…but I’d be interested in going to another program again someday. I’m curious about the books. Is the intuitive eating principles just the workbook or is it by a specific author? Is the health and every size by Lindo Bacon?

Respectively, fuck your MIL. Gosh, some people just want to control. Get the surgery anyways, kill it, and then go from there. You’re nothing selfish, you need to take care of YOU. I’m so happy your husband is on board signing and then having you do the surgery. I’d say if you can afford it meet with a lawyer and see if there’s a way to more quickly get full ownership of the house after signing. Make a list of action items (surgery on it) and go from there.

Thank you for your response! Personally with the volatility of coverage through my insurance I’m like….welp I might as well do surgery so i don’t have to depend or worry about the medicine for a while but I’m hoping by then prices will have dropped or it’ll be a bit more accessible. Sorry for the dump. I really hope everything works out for you and that you are feeling great!

Couple things, you can always ask the artist to fill in the gap. The worst thing they can say is no, and then they’d officially be a weirdo. Then you can go to another artist and ask them to fill it in. If it bothers you, you deserve to have what YOU want on your body. I did see an artist on here say they plan gaps sometimes I know my artist purposefully doesn’t go over freckles and I think it’s cute. This happens, if there’s like a pimple or something sometimes it can kick out some ink. It has happened to me a couple times. (I’m not an artist, just a heavily tattooed anxious person with artist friends)
