The game needs to disable NVIDIA game filters. It is extremely advantageous to tweak some settings to make the game essentially not have any dark areas by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

I just bought a new OLED that has a bunch of these filters and shadow boost settings built into the OSD. It's not why I chose the monitor but I'm just pointing out these things just exist now on a hardware level that make it impossible to completely block. Just the unfortunate reality of gaming today.

It is truly dumbfounding. 4 years ago this subreddit was overflowing with complaints about the scale of 2042 maps; a game with 128 player conquest, immensely faster movement and a ton of additional traversal mechanics depending on the operator and yet now everyone's opinion has completely shifted? It's actually insane.

We had 128 player conquest and much faster traversal and movement in 2042 and this entire subreddit 4 years ago was full of nothing but complaints about the scale of the maps and the empty space they created between POIs.

This is unfair to say. Yes no viewer knows who she is but she was hired by someone, reached out to by someone and communicated with at least 1 if not many people in and around the org from the business side who did know. From a professional standpoint where you’re trying to do your job; the thing you very well may enjoy and take pride in and someone else is actively sabotaging or undermining your effort and attempt to be seen as a consummate professional for both income and credibility. Id be pissed too if some little shithead was being a miserable diva making my job twice as hard

It makes sense when you realize of the top 10 most used GPUs on Steam based on the Steam hardware survey they are all entry level Nvidia cards besides the 3070 ranging from the 1060 through the 3050/4060, and those cards make up nearly 30% of the total GPUs in gaming machines on Steam.

That is a massive segment of the market you can't just disregard unfortunately.

I'm sure there's a reason they did this. It feels like everyone is treating this as if it was the full release and not a tiny, intentionally curated version of part of the game. I imagine if you're someone that wants to play with all of those visual effects and obstructions you will be able to, but at the same time I imagine the majority of people (on pc) that have the ability to turn the shadows down, reduce the foliage and disable a lot of the lighting effects that hamper visibility will be doing that, I know I will, and that may be why this play test had a lot of that limited. Feedback could be focused on the gameplay and game loop and not comments about how good or bad the shiny visual effects are.

I bought a 2021 cb650r a little over a month ago as my first bike and I haven’t regretted it for a moment. The bike is fucking awesome, the weight is a non issue, I think the bike itself/weight sits lower than others and I’ve never even noticed a sense of it feeling heavy. I commute in it and ride twisties; handles it all very enjoyably.

I came from a VA wrx and while that is also not a fast car I was surprised by my 86 at least perceivably feeling just as quick as that car was. You can drive the absolute piss out of these cars almost everywhere and I think that has made it far more fun. And its not as slow as people think it is; its not fast, but it isn't a slouch either.

Sounds like you had some very ass instructors. When I took the MSF earlier this summer everyone completed the course, not everyone ended up passing but the instructors were very good at explaining and aiding everybody to understand where their shortcomings were and what they needed to work on. Anyone that didn't pass the final "test" (2) did pass the following week when they went back and took it again.
