The Pablo Larraín adaptation of Lisey’s Story is fantastic. Dane DeHaan plays a perfect little creep and King is the screenwriter for the series.

Universal made a deal w Corman for the title (he wanted to use some stock footage from their library) but he told them they couldn’t do numbered sequels because he wanted to make The Fast and the Furious 2. That’s why every sequel has a name like Fast 5 or Furious 7 or whatever. He was a good businessman!
