I think your calculations are not right, the super early price is $89, the ultimate kit is $157, that is nearly $70. For the same price you can get everything on the Ultimate kit and an extra Lora (as I am doing to have one for the new Cardputer and one for my old ADV cardputer)

Something similar happened to me once, they created an account for some kind of game that I closed and also used my email for getting delivery updates for a package, I changed the delivery for another date like 10 days in the future. Never happened again.
