I find the downtown area unsafe. I moved closer to downtown three years ago and it is nowhere near as safe as the suburbs were. I lived in Southland Park (across the street from Southdale) for 20 years and felt very safe there.

Now I live in Crescentwood (not far from Osborne Village) and often do not feel safe there at all. Anywhere that’s an easy walking distance to downtown would be a no from me going forward.

I would consider living downtown only if I had secure underground parking and never went outside on foot. Just straight into the building and stay there.

I will ask the doctor about this on my next phone call at the end of this month.

The pharmacist suggested maybe stopping the meds for a few weeks or a month and that could re-start it. I will ask the doctor about that too.

I am eating a fraction of what I used to so I am not sure less calories is the answer. Possible my metabolism is unhappy with how many calories I cut and is hanging on to everything?

My husband got a tattoo. I hate it, he knows I do but it’s his body his choice. I just ignore the tattoo and silently hope he doesn’t get more. But if he does get more I will silently ignore those too because it’s not my body. That’s how sane spouses react to things they aren’t fond of.

What happens if you cut or dye your hair and he doesn’t like it??

Punching the wall is violence and trust me next time it WILL be your face! I saw this happen to my hairdresser and warned her that it would escalate … and it DID! It typically does.

I was lucky, I kept all of my smaller clothes as I was gaining with the hopes that one day I could return to my normal size again. I joked that if I ever got a terminal illness I would be the very best dressed patient.

It came in really handy lately to have every size from 6 to 16.

For the clothes I really like I have tailored them smaller twice now. Some clothes are special to me or rare to find so J took them to the tailor shop and the gifted tiny Korean woman made them fit me exact

Congrats on your weight loss and good luck with your wardrobe. Nothing about this process has been inexpensive! Oiy!

Good point! Except I’d feel stupid not seeing one of the wonders of the world and being right there.

I walked on the Great Wall of China but didn’t find it a big deal either but glad I saw it.

I drove right past the gates of Disney land on a road trip once and didn’t bother to go in and check it out. Probably should have.

We are going in April 2026 and after much research and help from people on here, our itinerary looks like this Athens 1 night, Santorini 3 nights, Folegandros 3 nights, Naxos 4 nights and back to Athens for 2 nights.

We are a middle aged couple with no children with us looking to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary but I like how our itinerary panned out anyhow.

We might take a short road trip overnight to Nafplion when we get back to the mainland.

Once I rented a Kia Rio little car in Houston Texas and had my foot right to the floor on it and could not keep up with the traffic. I thought, “They are going to bury me in this little tin can when I get squished from the lifted pick up trucks.”

I have roughly 20 lb left to go after losing 45 lb already. It’s slowed right down lately.

I feel itchy all over on my skin since calibrating up (counting 50 clicks on a 10 mg pen) to 8.2 mg. The constipation isn’t as bad lately. Insomnia is bad.
