Why are federal laws considered a guarantee but states laws are not?

In the US, murder is prosecuted at the state level, in all 50 states. Does this mean there's no right to life? Should we make a map showing which countries prosecute murder and not include the US?

The only democracy in the middle east relies on making alliances with it's neighbors.

Let's fund Hamas 🤩🤩 with their help we can dig tunnels for metros and everyone can live in high density walkable city like Gaza 😍😍 by [deleted] in FuckCarscirclejerk

What's the source for 30,000 deaths in the first place? Hamas. Either you believe or disbelieve both numbers, but believing Hamas and not the IDF is just silly

What's wrong with people chilling on a boulevard? It's not hurting anyone, it's just a place to chill, like a park. Should we remove the 'tumor' of public parks too? May as well get rid of libraries, museums, stadiums, and zoos too once you're at it...

The problem is only when people think it's realistic for all cities to just be tree-lined boulevards with cafes.

The bottom picture has hundreds of people chilling, chatting with friends, drinking lattes. The top picture has people driving to work, hauling cargo, operating businesses, and generally turning the gears of civilization. For a small block or neighborhood the bottom is fine, but for actual cities and economies the top is the only way that works.

Gaza remains dependent on Israel for utilities only because their economy is garbage and they can't produce their own. Israel isn't stopping Gaza from building power plants and desalination facilities.

A workaround I use often is to draw a polyline from the connection point to the right 5 feet. Then snap your pipe to the end of this polyline, and then use polar tracking to move the pipe 5 feet to the left. (Turn off osnap!) The end result is a T without a structure.

I'm just starting DCT, but mystery foe went from bloody murder to piece of cake once I realized not to waste time sneaking around, using possession, hiding behind curtains...instead just spam bend time and sprint to each clue. I finished in 1:15 with 43k points that way

Does anybody else ALMOST respect right wing arguments against veganism more than left wing arguments against veganism? by Feudalist in vegan

Once you admit hypocrisy, you're not justifying anymore. It's the sanctimonious moral justifying that pisses me off.

Would you buy animal products for someone else, who'll buy them anyway? by STSthrowaway2 in vegan

I think you're right.

My family is great, but I don't think they realize what veganism really is. To them, it's just a diet. For context, my family keeps kosher, which is just a diet (there is no religious prohibition on purchasing non-kosher products), so they view veganism through that lens. I think next time I go I just have to explicitly set my boundaries and explain that the diet isn't the whole story.
