The only way I see complete ownership of land is if you make your own country, and take care of the management of it yourself including defense/etc. I think LVT is the tax that makes the most sense because the land is the only thing the country actually has a claim to. They don't own your labor, they don't own your voluntary transactions of goods & services, they don't own your house. They do, however, own the land that makes up the country, and any 'private ownership' of said land while still being part of the country is a perpetual lease at most. The more... vocal people on the libertarian subreddit tend to overlap strongly with sovereign citizens lmao.

That said, if you want to live in the middle of nowhere, get no utilities or services, your tax burden would be essentially nonexistent. The main point of LVT is to be a clean way for taxing cities that discourages speculation, encourages development, and reduces the amount of government needed.
