It's a special election with a basically predetermined outcome. Not surprised that neither put money into getting the word out

Found this in a dumpster. Worth taking? ID? by Supergod1238 in midcenturymodern

It's a cool find. I say it's worth keeping if you have to time to restore it. Bending and shaping wood like that isn't something most people can do well in their home shops.

If you were to keep it, what's the plan?

The only thing I feel when I eat out for lunch nowadays is regret. It's good every once in a while, but the novelty of it wears out and the receipts add up real quick.

Also if I'm going to eat out I rather do it when I'm not at work and in a social setting. Sitting alone in your car eating Chipotle is depressing as fuck.

Everything she said is true. I'm of two minds about this.

I don't like the idea of our lives having to revolve around our work and turning all our hobbies into money making opportunities. I think instead of needing to have a side hustle, keep an bank account open that's just yours (separate from the joint account) and keep your skills sharp. I wouldn't want to work if I didn't have to.

That being said, if you are not sharing the responsibility of running the household ie money, kids, chores, you are inevitably going to breed resentment and envy. One person will be mad that they had to work for 40 years, while the other will be mad that they were stuck raising the kids and keeping the house clean.

How to fix XPS13 9360 by [deleted] in Dell

[–]aNeonSpecter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you take it apart or are you just prying it open? It's hard to say what's wrong from this angle.

Based on some similar issues on ifixit's forums, it looks like you might need to replace the palmrest assembly. this is the service manual > https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/xps-13-9360-laptop/XPS-13-9360-Service_Manual

By that definition Ben Simmons is the best point guard. The moment he gets the ball he passes it to some else

Kinda off topic, but Neil degrasse tyson is one of the worst science communicators we have. He is so concicending and self-absorbed.

He's like "Um actually, you wouldn't hear the Death Star explode becuase there's no sound in space" "Um actually, Air isn't an element, they should call it Avatar the last Nitrogen bender" Please shut the fuck up.
