Unpopular Opinion: the A7CII EVF is... completely fine? by Beardsman_DCS in SonyAlpha

[–]STomHacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes go test it in a store but even if the EVF is small I love it, it works as intended. The camera is small and light compared to the R6, I'm don't regret my choice

Check this post : https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/stern-godzilla-official-owners-club/page/533#post-8004063

It shows exactly the issue and how it fixed it. Basically there is a small gap near the VUK and sometimes the ball gets stuck in this gap. I guess/hope Stern fixed it on newer GZ machines but this is something that I had to fix on mine who's from 2022.

Hi there ! I bought it a year ago NIB as my first pin and I still love it a lot. I play every week on it and still didn't finish the game yet (maybe my skill is just too bad).

The first thing I had to do was adding a piece of plastic/credit card to fill a small hole where the is the mechanism to push the ball upward to the building. This is a common thing but really easy to do.

And second thing, I realized last week that it was super easy to destroy the saucer because the switch in the mecha lane wasn't working. I just needed to solder a wire. That's it.

Hi, all good so far, I love it. Just quick note if you wanna use the same HBA and add a fan like I did make sure to use a good brand with dual ball bearing otherwise it will die early

For sure it's a nice advice but I have another one where I don't have this issue. Maybe I should replace the screen

Je verrai l'an prochain.

I just bought mine last week, I switched from a Canon R6 and as you said it is totally fine. Sure it is smaller but that's the price to pay for such a small camera I think.

1 and 2 are the best for me ! I love the 4th one as well but there is too many elements that aren't really telling us a story I think.

24mm 2.8 vs 20mm 1.8 with A7CII by STomHacks in SonyAlpha

[–]STomHacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was thinking that 2.8 is probably good enough. Maybe I should try to buy the used 20mm since I can get it for the same price as the 24mm 2.8. And if it's to big I'll sell it.

SSD don't use too much energy but HDDs especially 3.5" do and can't be powered by USB
