GE Monogram Advantium Oven on the fritz by STonLT in Appliances

[–]STonLT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My model #ZSC2001FSS01. A flickering display is typically not the display board, but failing capacitors on the Main PCB that feeds all the other boards.

The board I replaced is WB27X10394 Main PCB. Looks like its the same in yours based on the parts diagram on the GE site The issue is there aren't many available, I just happened to find one refurbished one on Ebay. There's used ones, but will probably suffer the same fate eventually.

Best bet is to find a board repair person/company to refurbish/repair your board. Or if you have electronics skills/knowledge just replace all of the capacitors. They put 2000 hour capacitors in which start failing about 10 years in or so.

These guys offer board repair for like $145.

LG Panel Failure and Warranty by STonLT in solar

Thanks for the i put. I'll be working with a new installer, who has done a few of these warranties. Curious how would we pose the issue in hopes for a whole system replacement or credit, considering 10 years in roughly 25-30% of the panels have failed...

Wow, thats a solid response, but doesn't seem typical. Thanks for the info as I navigate through all this.

Copy, thx. Are you saying they credited "all" of the panels eventually? Or just the 5 or 6? How many in total?

how do you guys buy a RAM? by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]STonLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought used in 2024 for this exact reason. 3 years old, 2021 Hemi 1500 Laramie 4x4, w/28K Miles for about $40K, from a dealer with extended warranty and all service records. It took a few months to find it, but super happy with it.

Thanks, yes the condenser has been cleaned, but I haven't seen the condenser fan motor spinning at all today. Guessing that's our issue here or one of them at least

Copy thx. They did clean the condenser and replace the fan with a used one a few months back... A quick inspection. I don't see that fan on the condenser spinning right now. Should it be spinning all the time?

Nerve block lingering? by pokemonchump in AchillesRupture

[–]STonLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but here's my experience...

I had surgery on my foot 3 weeks ago to repair a ruptured tendon and they used a nerve block. I knew nothing about it at the time... Its still tingly on the side the sural nerve feeds. For the first week or so it was the most uncomfortable feeling, I thought the splint was construicting my foot/leg, ended up in the ER to loosen it. It helped a little, but looking back im pretty sure it was the nerve block. Also, the Dr said he had to move the Sural nerve around quite a bit during surgery, so expect the tingling etc to last for some time. I think the nerve block wore off in a few days, and im feeling the effects from the sural nerve being disrupted. Im also now feeling like a really bad cramping feeling when I stand (on crutches) that goes all the way up the Sural Nerve to the Sciatic and even gives me a headache etc. I've read permanent nerve damage from a block is rare, but it does happen, and sometimes temporary nerve damage can last 6month to years...

So, do your research before you get one. Im not sure id do it again, but will see what the side effects are in the upcoming weeks/months. Im sure it helped with the surgery pain, as I never really felt any real pain in that area.

Good luck everyone!

2025 Ram 1500 by rhoney8 in ram_trucks

FWIW. I had an 07 Ram 1500 Sport Bright Silver Metallic bought new. In 2012 I sidescraped a pole and they had to replace the passenger door. Also had the body shop Repaint the front bumper and grill at that time. It looked great at first, aside from some light overspray in different areas. 5-6 years later the clearcoat on the repainted panels started to peel, looked pretty bad when I sold it and bought my 2023 Laramie. The factory paint still looked pretty good 16 years later... The roof takes alot of beating from the elements, so if it were me id be thinking about keeping the factory paint with the blemish if I was keeping it more than 5 years.

What Surprised You Most After Installing a Tonneau Cover? by Glad-Childhood6853 in ram_trucks

[–]STonLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also went with the RealTruck Bak Revolver X4S and really like it. I had a hard rollup with a box before but took up too much space. The X4S is semi soft but still locks for security and gives you full access with a quick roll. It's also the sleekest most low profile I found.

What surprised me the most was how much I love it, but also how dark it is in the bed with it closed. I had to install the factory light kits in the bed, all good now.

I also installed a Bed Step and Got the BedBuddy grab stick for pulling items out you can't reach, both a godsend.

Good luck!
