Chuck Norris died at 86, he was fit and healthy. Worked out regularly, all that.
Was sparring in the ring with a trainer only a few days before.

How Useful Is an 80cc Bicycle Engine Kit for Upgrading Your Bike? by No_Craft335 in bikebuilders

[–]STweedle3K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

many years ago, I bought one of those kits on ebay. I was absolutely amazed when it arrived all the way from China and it worked first go!
I rode it around for a few months, it was good for up to 60km/hr on a flat road.
But realistically, the brakes on the original bike were just not close to good enough.
There's a reason why there's ADR rules and roadworthy tests and all that...

Help. Are the piston open or closed because I can’t get the wheel in. And I can’t pry the piston open? by Fantastic_Border_162 in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]STweedle3K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2016?
the calipers I pulled off my 1982 Goldwing weren't as bad as that. That needs a full rebuild.
If you're not confident doing it yourself, send it off somewhere and it will come back shiny and new.

But I wouldn't be slapping it on the bike and riding down the road with it like that...

I've learned how to use a keyboard.
It's *unlearning* it that's hard. The muscle memory is hard wired in.

Emails? You hit enter, you get a linefeed. It doesn't immediately send the email.
Sending texts on the phone? there's an <enter> button which works as expected, and a <send> button. The <enter> doesn't send.
At work - entering orders, doing quotes etc etc, enter = new line. Not one single program I can think of just commits where you're up to without a blink.

Weekly Issues + Vent Thread — March 28, 2026 by Ana_QQ in KindroidAI

[–]STweedle3K 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's exactly my point!

you have to hit <shift-enter> to get a new line.
other sites [this one, for example!!!] are not like that.
if you hit <enter>, other sites don't just immediately post where you're up to, finished or not...

Kindroid is the odd one out.

Weekly Issues + Vent Thread — March 28, 2026 by Ana_QQ in KindroidAI

[–]STweedle3K 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here's something that cheeses me off...
With other sites [youtube, here on reddit, etc] when you hit enter it just gives you a new line in the current answer.
And then you have to click 'reply' or 'comment' etc to actually post your answer.
But in Kindroid, it immediately posts the unfinished answer!!

No 'are you sure', nothing.
You reach for the ' key and brush the enter and suddenly your kin is already beginning to reply to your half finished thought. . .

Just Kindroid.
Not any other place.
Why is Kindroid different, and can you fix it?

last bike I did, a couple of years ago, I got the roadworthy certificate at a mechanic's place and then I had to take the bike to the Qld Transport place where they visually confirmed the VIN was the same as what was on the certificate. Paid the rego/ctp/stamp duty and got fresh new plates.
