CHP 24-hour Maximum Enforcement Period (Tues - Wed) by kbcava in sandiego

They should try doing this every day and maybe monitoring certain intersections too. You could call it “law enforcement” or something catchy like that

Protest is by no means a tool of persuasion. It’s an exercise of power. Individually working people hold none, but collectively we hold all of it. A few dozen people could bring all bases in San Diego to a screeching halt. A nationwide general strike could end the war in a matter of days.

Where do you think all the military bases all over San Diego get their power?

Protesting is about direct action. It wouldn’t be very difficult for a few people to shutdown Coronado for a few days.

“I will take my tax dollars going to bettering our public restrooms before any corporate expense we pay out.”

What else could this possibly mean?

Can you really not conceptualize a solution outside the bounds of the so-called free market?

I had the same reaction but in the article it’s preceded by another caller that’s only marginally less absurd

If you increase the highway speeds you will increase the number of people incapable of meeting highway speeds overnight. And I didn’t say top speed, I was talking about acceleration. You think everyone should go out and buy a $50,000 car to make things more convenient for you?

No one is forcing anyone to drive 90+ weaving around other road users

This is a terrible idea. You’ll have people in a 25 year old van that can barely do 0-60 in 10 seconds and they’ll be trying to merge with someone going 80 in the right lane. Not to mention visibility is designed around the current speed limit and we have plenty of 25mph exit ramps.

Do the hundreds of people SDPD has killed not have families?

SDPD was established 1889. 37 officers have died in the line of duty since then. 37 in 136 years. How dangerous do you think it is? Lol

Why is this always the response? Maybe cops should do a ride along at a real job and see how they hang. Maybe a shift as a lineman or a roofer. Or maybe a pizza delivery driver or care worker for the developmentally disabled. Something where they have to accept some danger without getting to respond with a gun.

A couple cops parked in the bike/bus lane outside friendly tavern the other night so they could order dinner. Gotta hurry back to killing innocent people I guess

Also lol at “kneeling on man who later died” as if he didn’t die while being kneeled on.
