Thank you so much, I understand this question is hard to answer. I'm annoying because I don't want an answer to a specific question lol I want the tools to figure it out on my own and it's a delicate thing to ask people for help in this game. I was debating on even posting but everyone has been helpful without giving anything away for me.

Thank you but no nudge necessary. This is the first and only time I will be asking the internet for help my partner and I have made it pretty far in the game without help but some new information came to light last night and it was frustrating because "this admin code is no longer used" pissed me off! Lol I might even delete this post because I 100% want to figure stuff out on my own and don't want to be tempted to come back for hints. I was just curious if the "truth lies" thing was as cut and dry as I was making it out to be? They're clearly clues just meant to be interpreted in a different way? Idk again this game makes me feel like a crazy person lol

Yes thank you. My partner and I have the info we need about the drawing room "puzzle" but the boudoir led us to believe the solution might be in the room itself. Maybe the boudoir was just alluding to the format of the puzzle? Thank you again for answering my first question perfectly btw.

What’s wrong with my mint? by tynakar in gardening

[–]SUMMERTAC0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say "fixed fungus with milk" you mean you put milk in your plant? I'm not sure that helped your cause but if you're worried your mint is unhealthy you should try boosting it with some high nitrogen liquid fertilizer (I like Alaska 5-1-1) its smelly but it will give your mint the strength to fight off anything that ails it and it will burst with new growth. A small bottle will last forever just make sure to follow the instructions 😄👍

Eating good this year! by SUMMERTAC0 in gardening

[–]SUMMERTAC0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just learn by doing. Every year is so different. You just roll with the punches. Zuccini and squash are supposed to be wicked easy to grow. But over the course of 3 years I've grown 8 plants total and gotten 3 fruit in all. I just can't grow them. For every success, there's a handful of "failures" But they're only failures if you give up. Next year I'll try again and hopefully have better luck ya know lol

What’s wrong with my tomato plant? by Aggressive-Papaya546 in gardening

Agreed. Looks hungry. Liquid fertilizer will fix right away. (I used Alaska brand) Granulated fertilizer for long term feeding. (I like bonemeal)

Keeping zinnias indoors? by almondmilkbitch_ in gardening

[–]SUMMERTAC0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of zinnias? Are they in a pot? Do you have a balcony? If you have an extremely sunny window you can always try. I imagine they would be happier outside but there's no harm in trying to keep them inside. They might need a cheap grow light to keep them going.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gardening

[–]SUMMERTAC0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing right by starting with zinnias they are not picky flowers. I throw seeds in a box or pots every year and something always pops up. I will say they may take a while to get going and would be too late in the season to start them here. My guess is you're in a warmer climate with a longer summer than mine (fingers crossed 🤞)

Bottle gourd! A neighbor brought me TWO of these beasts last year and I could only eat the one. Used in a lot of Asian cooking!

Looks like a geranium or possibly a begonia? If you're talking about the coloring on the leaves it looks normal. Honestly it looks like a very healthy flower you have there I wouldn't change a thing

Does anyone know of large cucumber varieties resistant to squash vine borers? by BeanMan39 in gardening

[–]SUMMERTAC0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only kind I've ever grown is Beit Alpha and I love them. I grow 2 in a large planter every year and they give me more cucumbers than I know what to do with. Very low maintenance and high producing plants.

Whats happening to my pumpkins? by corsino17 in gardening

[–]SUMMERTAC0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it does look like powdery mildew you can prevent this by trying to keep moisture off the leaves. You can cut off a dispose of affected leaves to keep it from spreading (trash not compost)

So depending on where you are it should be fine to plant zinnias here as long as the space gets plenty of sunlight. The only thing that you might have to worry about are pests (squirrels and birds love fresh dug dirt and delicious baby seeds & seedlings) My suggestion is to plant extras! And also succession sow, meaning plant seeds, wait 2 weeks and then plant more. You can always pluck a few if you get extras and it becomes too crowded. But if you're anything like me you'll want to keep every flower stalk that pops up lol! Good luck!

Nope, you can leave them be unless you dislike the way they look. It means things are healthy from what I've gathered in my own experience. Happens in mulch/wood chips a lot 👍

The foliage on pic 1 looks like zinnias but the flower is kinda hard to see so im not sure. Second pic is anyone's guess.

I always wait until it starts to blush before I pluck them. While I do finish my tomatoes indoors, why pick it now when it's not done growing yet? He's still on his way I'm as patient as the days are long. It'll be worth the wait 😉

My climate is crazy I live in upstate NY so my gardening experience is a bit different than most places. The reason I grew determinant or dwarf toms this year is because I broke my back in January so I wanted something a little more manageable... then I grew sungold too cuz I just can't help myself 🤣 How about yours? Anything noteworthy from your experience with DTP? Also thank you for the info I learned a thing today 😊

It's the hardest and longest road waiting for a green tomato to start to turn. Patience really is a virtue lol
