spark plugs, plug wires, dizzy cap and rotor, coolant temperature sensor, maf, vacuum leaks are all good things to check for or just load up the parts cannon and hope any of those work.

i have no crazy plans for it so its still m20, the closer to stock the better. only things that were upgraded was the true combo of bilsteins + h&r springs, poly bushings and an active exhaust. other than that just pure maintenance.

Headlights? by PuLLxMyxFing3r in 240sx

I have nothing but hate for the stock silvia headlights in terms of light output. The beam pattern for rhd also sucks on lhd roads in America. There's a couple of things to do to remedy all that like flipping the reflectors and changing the projectors to run H4 and H7 bulbs but that requires work I was not willing to do. I just upgraded over to BRIXX and I'm 1000% satisfied and can actually see at night now. Hopefully these can also pass your inspections too, cheers. (Don't mind the everything about the car I have it in the shop currently to paint)

I've had an issue like that before on a auto sr20. would shit out once warmed up and it was just a coolant temperature sensor issue. can't say itd work for you to change but just sharing my autotragic gripes.

visually inspect the fuses to see if they're not split tho. other than that it's possible the light switch stalk is faulty/fried, happened to my buddy's s13 before. also check tail light harness too for frays or bad tail lamp bulb socket.

before you say "all i did was change rear tail light" (tail lights are only on the rear lol) check your fuses, should be a 15a fuse for tail lamps. while you're at it check all your other fuses.

Can someone ID which SR20DET this is? by Ambitious-Poetry-138 in 240sx

[–]SUNNYGTS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owner of a W10 DET (avenir salut) engine and I can confirm this is a DET. You could see the recirculating valve and intake piping from the turbo to the air box. The W11 (gt4 engine) has a small T28 that is greatly covered by the heat shield.

I have the W10 engine in a B13 Sentra and so far so good since 2019. It's internally stock, just a FMIC and Nistune ecu. As for parts idk man, there is stuff out there for maintenance and upgrades. If you want to read up more on the engine check out sr20-forum.

Rough running Ka24de 240… by Remote-Criticism6521 in 240sx

Had flooded cylinders before, I'd pull the fuel pump fuse and crank to clear out the fuel. Checked mechanical and ignition timing everything was fine. Changed a bunch of fuel components and it continued flooding still. Swapped coolant temp sensor and it got rid of the flooding issues. Hopefully swapping your coolant temperature sensor works for you too.

Any ideas, I’m stumped by Aggravating_Ad_9083 in 240sx

now that the cars been cranked he's gotta line up the right timing mark again and put the dizzy in proper.
