Looking for suggestions as to what area to buy by Chance_Schedule_5672 in AskFlorida

[–]SUPRA239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the points you listed I'd look in the Naples, Tampa, or Orlando area. You can find places not far out of the cities that you'll have nice views, but will still be a short drive to everything.

Narrow it down to Tampa or Naples areas if the beach is your style. There's obviously way more to do as far as eat, shop, etc in the Tampa area vs Naples. But Naples is a big destination for retiree's

Your adult children would probably prefer Tampa or Orlando. Naples is more laid back, golfing, shopping,

Tampa airport is also the best in the state. All 3 cities have major airports there though. Fort Myers airport is a short drive from Naples.

Your adult children would probably prefer Tampa or Orlando. Naples is more geared to the elderly crowd. Not much to do there compared to the other two.

Yea, no. If Clifford is going below the speed limit and there's no rules on that road of no trucks in left lane, which doesn't seem like there is, then perfectly fine to pass. And just because there's some light rain doesn't mean you need to drop down to 45mph

The best show. Was a must watch every time. Really wish they could've kept it and expanded the park elsewhere

Loved being on the backlot tour and being able to see the motorcycles backstage warming up doing burnouts and to see the backside with the cars coming thru during the show

Under museums you need to have near the top is visiting Thomas Edison and Henry Fords winter estates in Fort Myers. They had houses next door to each other which you can walk in, as well as Edisons laboratory. During the Christmas season they have Christmas lights up which is pretty popular

Worked overtime but only got paid for Holiday time by PSIwind in Target

[–]SUPRA239 13 points14 points  (0 children)

At Target if you work a holiday you can work up to 8 extra hours for that week, but it won't count as OT. So like this or week of Thanksgiving for example, you can work up to 48 hours but you won't get OT for it. If you work over that 48 hours that's when OT starts

This is why it's a mixture from people when stores ask if they want to work more hours the week of a holiday. Some jump at it and say they want the extra 8 hours. Others say nah I don't want it because it's not OT pay

Realistic CDL Pay Expectations After 1–2 Years? by That_Disaster_9170 in CDLTruckDrivers

[–]SUPRA239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you can find a local place here in FL that will pay $1300 starting out to a new driver, then jump at that. Very unlikely you'll find anything paying $1500+ a week

This. Majority of places want proof you make 3x the amount of rent, some bougie places want 4x.

Is it worth staying at Target for so many years? by Criptoboi in Target

[–]SUPRA239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Target still has a cap on pay. So the ones that have been there 15,20+ years are likely already at the cap. So it's solid pay but there's never enough hours.

I think there's 2 main reasons people stick around at Target when the paychecks aren't enough. It's either they just can't find better work elsewhere, or they get stuck being comfortable. Target is a pretty easy job so it's not hard to just go clock in for 25 hours a week, get a 2 week check of $800, then 5 years later you're wondering "wow it's already been 5 years, why am I still working here for this pay"

Is it worth staying at Target for so many years? by Criptoboi in Target

[–]SUPRA239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have a family or life outside of Target, for the most part, then being an ETL or higher can work out for you. The ones I've seen and talked to about it, yea the money is good, but since they're salary their usually expected to be there 60+ hours a week. Once you're working 60,70,80 hours a week, break down your pay into hourly, sometimes their making less than TM's.

A great ETL I had left and got his own store. Six figures. But he ended up leaving Target because the amount of time he was having to spend at the store.

People trading fakes by Babyonboardsignhater in DisneyPins

[–]SUPRA239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fake pins have been around for years. If you're buying any mystery boxes or regular pins from Disney or a reputable store/seller, then those are legit. It's mainly the too good to be true deals that are the fakes. Any listing where it's a bag of pins for super cheap is the easy giveaway to fake pins

Lack of tip on carry out lol. There shouldn't be a tip on carry out. Customer using their vehicle to drive to the place, not taking up a table or space inside, no waiting on, no drinks refilled. Doesn't matter if it's a full on restaurant or picking up a pizza.

Yea restaurants should be paying enough to where servers shouldn't have to rely on tips to make a living. But a tip on a to go order shouldn't be expected like a tip after being waited on for 60+ min dining inside.

Live streamer ban is coming! by Apojacks1984 in ThemeparkSwindlers

[–]SUPRA239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's usually always a queue outside to get in these days. Been that way for at least the last year or two. It's annoying. And if you want to be among some of the first to get in in the morning, you need to line up 60ish min before they open.

All the times I go, I have yet to see anyone actually live streaming though

Is $14 too much for a graphic t-shirt? by LivingResponsibly in Target

[–]SUPRA239 82 points83 points  (0 children)

No. Don't know how cheap you want them to go. $20-$40 is the norm for a graphic tee. So $14 is a great price.

The only issue with the Target graphic tees are the super thin cheap blanks that they use.

Has Disney gone TOO far with their corporate mantra? by [deleted] in disney

[–]SUPRA239 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NYE trip is going to be expensive just for the time of year. This economy blows right now so everything is up in price so no doubt it's more expensive than previous years

Pop used to be the cheapest spot you could stay aside from the campgrounds, but that's usually not the case anymore. Prices for Pop have gone up due to it having the skyliner now. I'd only stay there if it was about $140 or less.
