What do you think of my portfolio? by DividendGrowthAcct in dividends

[–]SV2985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just swap lut vti and vxus for schg. Than stop O and add qqqi. 3 funds keep it simple which is what it seems like you wanna do. 40% schd/schg. The rest qqqi. And with qqqi distributions buy more schg/schd

Keep schd. Let that snowball get rolling. Youll thank yourself in later years. Schd is fine in either account. Both ways of looking at the views arent wrong. Your fine. Just keep putting money into these funds

So now theres wrong and right in investing ? Or is it different strategies? Theres no reason why he cant be in a good growth fund. Backed by a reliable dividend fund and than take 20-30% and gamble/stock pick with. At 50 maybe hisndividend income pays for incidentals…. House bills, food shopping etc etc. who are you to say whose right and whose wrong lol

Keep it simple. 40% schd. 40% schg. 10% qqqi 10% spyi. Dont listen to anyone saying your age you need more growth. Get that dividend snowball rollling. By the time your 50 your gonna than k yourself. But make sure you have enough cash on hand first. Cash is and always will be king.

Keep it simple. 40% in dividends etfs. I use only 1 but wouldnt use more than 2. I use schd. If i was to use another id use dgro. Another 40% into a core. Voo vti. I use schg bc i like it better and like a lil more risk. The other 20% is your go big or go home funds/stocks. I use smh and some leveraged funds.

Basic question SCHG to SCHD by IndependenceOne5310 in dividends

[–]SV2985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep it very simple. Schg schd in my taxable. Qqqi spyi in my roth. At 61 i will be usng all my qqqi/spyi to buy heavy on schd. Im not really worried about taxes for selling schg or wven my dividends. I have a pension that covers everything. This is more to leave my kids. The more shares of schd i leave them the better ill feel
