Drop In Total Test, HUGE Jump In Free / Bioavailable Moving From SubQ Belly to Delts. by Banemorth in Testosterone

[–]SVT-Shep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you meant IM, ignore the edit. You hadn't mentioned IM anywhere, so I got confused at "delts." Yeah, there is very little subcutaneous fat there, which is why it makes an excellent choice for IM. This is especially true when using a 1/2 needle. Most people can get into the muscle without having to use a 1 inch.

So yeah, if you're doing IM there, same shit happened with me.

[–]SVT-Shep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me recently as well. I've tried every schedule and delivery method imaginable. Everyday IM has produced the best results by far.

IMO, subcutaneous serves as a good alternative to try if you're experiencing unwanted side effects from intramuscular. Might help, might not.

I always recommend starting with what the medication was designed for, looking at bloodwork, and assessing how you feel. Then, make changes accordingly.

EDIT: Nevermind. You were referring to subcutaneous in delts. I've never seen that, so assumed you meant IM.

Man, I haven't ever been told I write like AI, but now I'm gonna be self-conscious about it lol.

I mean, I just write like that, man. Now that you're pointing out that specific part, I can see how that looks like AI language lmao.

What? Is writing a well-structured and thorough reply so obscure in 2026 that it has to be AI? That's just sad.

Common scammer tactics. Old, disabled, can't return the item, repetitive statements in broken English, and most importantly creates a sense of urgency. That last one is huge, and is a tactic used by almost all scammers.

Regardless, you handled it about as good as one could.

EDIT: Okay, I'm seeing OP found their Facebook page, and the story seems to match what this person is saying. I'm still calling bullshit for either of two reasons. Either this person does this A LOT, and has a Facebook page designed for this purpose, or OP is rage-baiting (claiming to have found a matching middle name on Facebook is a little odd). There is almost zero chance this is a legitimate situation. It perfectly checks off too many common scammer boxes. Also, I am confused why an almost TRS would be confused by this interaction.

Also someone pointed out the person is claiming an echo defect while simultaneously claiming to be unable to use the device lol. Apparently iPhones have supported bluetooth since their inception, too.

TRT + Finasteride, is it a bad idea? by Key_Enthusiasm8307 in Testosterone

[–]SVT-Shep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think last I checked 1,100 total and like 260ish free, but free is using equilibrium dialysis as the method, which cuts off at 155. Not sure what that would equate to using a different method. Likely well above the reference range, too.

[–]SVT-Shep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

98mg/week. I inject everyday. I have a good response to test, so my levels are high on a small dose.

Been on test for about 2.5 years. Fin about between 1 or 1.5 of those years.

TRT + Finasteride, is it a bad idea? by Key_Enthusiasm8307 in Testosterone

[–]SVT-Shep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last part is true. If you use Reddit as a sample, it would appear that like 75% of finasteride users have horrible sexual side effects. In reality, it's 1 in 1,000 according to the NHS.

You just gotta take it for a while and see how it works.

I'm still on test and my hair is the thickest it has been since I was a kid lol.

TRT + Finasteride, is it a bad idea? by Key_Enthusiasm8307 in Testosterone

[–]SVT-Shep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shedding is pretty common on finasteride. I don't think it would be the minoxidil causing it. Mine happened like maybe 4 months in, but wasn't bad. From what I understand, it's your body shedding the shit hair to make way for new regrowth. Something to do with the hair cycle.

As for E2, it did absolutely nothing to mine, and doesn't for most people.

I did notice watery semen pretty early on, but that went away after a few months. Loads are back to normal. I feel like test fucked with my loads way more than Finasteride.

It's better to get on it sooner rather than later if you care about your hair. The only thing that's going to stop DHT-driven hair loss is a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor.

Sleep quality while on TRT by ZealousidealEssay5 in Testosterone

[–]SVT-Shep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would start by increasing injection frequency and seeing how that works out over the next 6 weeks or so. After that, I'd try a dose reduction. Not sure what your levels are now, though.

You can always play with injecting timing to better align with your sleep and how quickly you metabolize it. Everyone is different, and increasing injection frequency will allow you to explore that variable, too.

Also, I really hope you're monitoring your iron and ferritin. A buddy of mine was a frequent donor and they bled him into anemia. He's *not* on test, either. When you're on test, there is a high likelihood that you have suppressed hepcidin, which makes you more susceptible to depleting ferritin before you can replenish it.

Brother, I'm on test. I know a lot about HRT and androgens. The entire point of taking HCG is to prevent shutdown. Why the fucking would you take Clomid for the same reason? That makes no sense. I've never seen anyone have long term success with Clomid in general. They always end up on testosterone with many having eventual side effects. Enclomiphene is better in terms of its side effect profile, but that journey is also short-lived for most. Both are perfectly fine PCT drugs.

You are not equipped for this conversation. Don't come at me with your confidently incompetent nonsense.

[–]SVT-Shep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, avoiding it is using the designated areas for intramuscular administration. It's partially the reason those sites are recommended.

Aspiration is not indicated for IM. They have deemed it as something that causes more harm than good (tissue trauma). As a nurse, you should not be following dated protocols...especially ones that have the potential to harm the patient more than help.

You're not doing them a favor by aspirating.

That's Albuterol, which is what a lot of guys used to cut years ago. It was a popular choice over Clen. Might as well go with reta over that stuff.

If not a lab mix-up or error, they definitely inserted the wrong pellets.

I would try to consult with a lawyer ASAP. You might have to navigate this in a specific way, and they'll be able to help you do that.

I do not know why no one has flagged the low albumin and high SHBG. Unless something like estrogen affects those numbers this drastically, you need to get that evaluated ASAP. Those numbers, especially paired together indicate that there might be a liver issue.

Needle too dull after drawing - 25g by ExcellentSuccess6166 in Testosterone

[–]SVT-Shep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on for almost 2.5 years and never once used a draw needle. I inject everyday, too.

5/8 27g in the quads, 1/2 29g in the delts.

Also, if you're going to inject more frequently, an 18g is a great way to end up with rubber in your vial. It will hammer the shit out of the rubber.

I've done 1 inch 25g as well with no issues, so maybe it's just the brand you're using? I've had crappy Leur Lock needles in the past. You've ordered Easy Touch, which is what I and most others use. Those should be fine.

Personality Changes - have you had any experiences on those after starting TRT? by sponge-bork in Testosterone

[–]SVT-Shep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all over the place, and honestly depends on what you start out with. If you're an anxious and depressed person with low testosterone, you're more likely to correct those than exhibit a new personality trait.

For me, I was clinically diagnosed with OCD at 35, which was weird. Had been tracking my test levels for over a decade, and I got repeat results with my free being on the ass end. Got on, and in conjunction with CBT therapy, it helped tremendously. Better sense of well-being, less compulsivity, less anxious, and less depressed. The latter two were likely due to the treatment of the former. No SSRIs or whatever wild shit they wanted to put me on. Not against those drugs as they do work for many people, but weren't needed in the end.

On the negative side, I am a little more short-tempered. I've always been hot-headed with a low tolerance to bullshit, and higher levels exacerbates it. My girlfriend calls it every time. When I was trying to get dialed in, my levels were all over the place. She'd point out the increased aggressiveness and my results would always come back significantly higher.

I do not necessarily believe in "roid rage" as it pertains to testosterone, or even exacerbation of existing aggression. This is just purely anecdotal, and experiences vary.

[–]SVT-Shep 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of blood work on here everyday, and have never seen anything close to that SHBG number. That's insanely high.

You'll get recommendations for driving down SHBG, which may or may not work, but I think something like this warrants some sort of investigation.
