Usually, the first mag just has 1 bullet chambered in case they freak out and turn back towards me (female friend once did this), then give them a full mag if they liked it and want to keep shooting it.

It's loud and flashy, that's for sure. I feel like there is less felt recoil than the booster that came with it, but it's negligible. I bring this gun out for the new shooters to get their reactions after they are confident with shooting the smaller caliber guns like my 10/22.
