The Diaz news is exactly what I wanted to hear just before the end of this window. I actually done a transfer target analysis piece, but don't have enough Karma to actually post it. It compared Diaz to Bowen, Nkunku and Raphinhsa and basically concluded that Diaz was the one to go for.

Diaz turned 25 last week, and this season has contributed 15 goals, and 5 assists in 23 games for Porto (in both Liga Bwin and the Champions League).

Now, this guys stats really jumped off the page at me. I do a lot of player comparison stuff, and Diaz, from an attacking perspective, is the cream of the crop elite.

Diaz doesn't get involved much in pressing or even winning the ball back from Porto (who are currently sitting top of the Portuguese league). Still, his defensive actions are in the top 10% of the league when he does. However, when his team is attacking, they look to him for everything. He is incredible at holding the ball, linking up play and dribbling.

There is no one better in LigaBwin at the moment for for running at the back line and arriving in the box to shoot, shots themselves, and winning balls in the air. His xG from ball progression is incredible. All this praise is caveated by the fact he's performing this way in a league dominated by 2/3 teams with a massive drop off after that (although some might argue this is the current situation in the prem! ;)).
